Great Software!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the newest version of this software! I have been using Elements for several years and this only improved on an already great program. Editing is easy, even for beginners! Take your photos to the next level with this program, you won't be disappointed!

No problem with Premiere, Photoshop took two tries
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The software gives you two options to install. The included disc or a download link for those without disc drives. I chose the disc and tried to install photoshop first. I left the room and when I returned it said the install failed. I decided to try premiere and see if it would fail also. Nope, it installed as it should and so I figured try PS again. I didn't uninstall anything, just fired it up again and tada, installed just fine. I'm not sure why if failed the first time as I wasn't in the room, but it should have worked. Other than that, it works and the install codes went through so I'm good to go. I should add that the box included two discs, one for Windows and one for Mac.

User-friendly software with a pro touch
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 & Premiere Elements 15 are as robust of image and video manipulation programs as any other on the consumer level market. This program collection provides an easy platform to import still and moving pictures, edit images and movies, and organize photo and video libraries. While not leaps and bounds of an improvement over the previous popular iteration, it does provide loads of art effects, photo enhancement options, picture manipulation tools, and enough goodies to keep you busy. It's more than you need, really, especially for non-professionals. Installation and startup was quick and easy. I had the option to install on either a Mac or PC out of the box, so I went with my MacBook Pro. A disc is provided, but lacking an optical drive, I followed easy instructions to download the necessary files from the Adobe website. They are fairly large file sizes for both programs, but once fully downloaded, setup took less than five minutes to get up and running. Photoshop Elements 15 provides more than enough photo manipulation and organizing options. I really liked the Instant Fix option - when you organize your photos, the software will auto-adjust the photos for color, clarity, and other variables with ease. I also appreciated the search function for photos and some of the tagging and auto-tagging abilities after importing photo libraries. Sharing is easy too, as you can create albums, collages, or scrapbooks and share directly from the software to your network of friends and family. This is really an easy introduction to novice Photoshop users interested in a variety of editing tools and in a more professional look to their photos. On the video editing side of things, Premiere Elements 15 tweaks the previous build with small, subtle updates. The facial recognition during video editing is impressive, though I must admit I was a little overwhelmed using most of the video editing tools. I appreciated the guided editing option during one home video manipulation session, which seems helpful to the more novice of consumers who will use this feature but is a useful tool for all users nonetheless. One noticeable drawback was the amount of screen real estate that is occupied when the program is open with its default settings. The software was installed onto a MacBook Pro 13" and the editing area appears very small onscreen, though I am reluctant to tinker with the settings enough to see what I can do to adjust this small inconvenience. Overall, these are well-built programs for the everyday user at a fraction of the cost of the Photoshop and Premiere Pro standard software. This edition of Elements is perfect for consumers who are underwhelmed by some of the free options out there and are looking to add a professional touch to their photos and videos. Full disclosure, I was given this product to review for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Not Only For The Pros
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to think that these products were just for professional use, but after playing around with the free trials, I'm wish I tried these products much earlier! Even if you ignore the abundance of free guides and/or tutorial videos, these programs make it very easy for new people to jump in right away. I look forward to improving my skills from both trial+error and through online tutorials. I wanted to also mention that even though the box claims you need a DVD drive, it's not true. There's an included card that directs you to the Adobe site where you can download the software after entering your product keys.

Awesome Product
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The program is very easy to install. I have a PC and it only took about 5 minutes to get both installed on my desktop. My wife and kids love to take photos and they have spent so much time in the past editing their pictures. With photoshop they love how user friendly it is, especially for my wife who is not very tech savvy. More importantly, they have been able to edit their pictures without anyone noticing that they have been edited. Overall, it is a great product that is easy to install and work with if you enjoy taking and editing pictures. My wife and kids highly recommend Photoshop.

Great, but is it worth it?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, the fact that this was able to be downloaded, as my laptop does not have an disc drive, is a major advantage on its own. For those familiar with Photoshop, Adobe has once again outdone themselves with Photoshop 15. Some features have been a mainstay and this version just adds to that. Added is the ability to sort photos by whos in them, and where they were taken, as well as easier ways to share with people. The added features of video editing, while excellent, lead me to a unique crossroads... I dont have very many videos that I want to edit.. For the sake of the review, I edited a couple using the guided editing and found this to be VERY helpful. I was also able to easily remove frames and apply filters to multiple frames at once.. Besides my unique challenge, the only thing I disliked was the massively large download and the time it took to download.. This is not something for the super impatient or for someone with a computer that doesn't have a lot of memory to play with. When reviewing a product, I ask myself if I had to buy the product again, would I buy this, or something else? I also ask myself if a friend or family member asked me to suggest a product, would i suggest this? If either has a fraction of a yes, then its a Yes. But to answer my questions for you, I personally would not buy this again as the video editing just wasnt worth it to me. I would stick to the basic, picture editing version only. But if someone had a lot of video editing to do, I would recommend this product to them.

A great intro to Photoshop and video editing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This software is great if you are like me and just learning Photoshop. If you are already experienced with Photoshop, then you'll want to get the full blown version. This software has some automatic guided features to help you get your photos and video setup easily so you don't have to spend a lot of time making them look cool. There are some effects built in, such as adjusting eyes and smiles. Again, if you are a novice like me and want to get your feet wet with Photoshop, then this is a great first step!

Basic Phot and Video needs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Adobe hasn't added anything ground breaking for me that warrants ground breaking features that I can't already purchase in a application in a phone app store. Positively if you're like me with thousands of pictures some of them duplicates and some of them really old, I am happy to say that Adobe Elements comes with a facial recognition features and organize feature so that I can put my pictures in an order that makes sense to me. Also, whether it is a video or a picture I am editing there is a feature to upload either media to social media sites and or video publishing sites. I am a pet parent so you can imagine how many pictures alone of them that I have so this is going to be really great to edit out imperfections from their inability to sit still! This is a great product for a beginner at picture and video editing I just hope they had more features that could "wow" me!

Everything you need, nothing you don't
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Photography has been a pleasurable hobby from the film days; from my experience, Nikon and Canon set the standards as far as I'm concerned. So, naturally, in the migration from film to digital, I kept those same brands as my equipment choices. But wait a minute...regardless of camera brand, digital photography gives us so much more freedom and a good toolkit can make the most of the time we spend shooting. After trying the online photo editors, after trying subscription photo editor services, I've found the perfect "hammer" for my toolkit, Photoshop Elements. It has the ability to be as simple as I might want [quick touch-ups to photos, etc.] while offering the ability to get down to the nuts and bolts of photo appearance. What PE offers versus the full-blown editors is the basics, nicely presented and easy to work with, without the features I would never use anyway. That is the perfect package. Because I do not shoot video, I cannot speak to Premier Elements but, if it is anything like Photoshop Elements, it's possibly all the software one would need to do their video editing. If you are into photo editing to any degree beyond basic resizing and so on, if you want to pull details out of shadow areas, for example, and add another dimension to your photos' appearance, this is the one to get.

Visually Overwhelming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disclaimer: I received this product free in exchange for my review. Background on me: I taught myself how to use Jasc (now Corel) Paint Shop Pro over 10 years ago, and have used it recreationally since. In college I played with Photoshop in the Mac lab on campus, but never really learned how to really use it. I was super excited to get this program for free, I've wanted to switch over to Adobe for a while now and thought this was just perfect to get my feet wet in the world of Adobe. Unfortunately, it is very visually overwhelming/chaotic when you open the program (though I will admit so is the latest iteration Paint Shop Pro) especially to those unfamiliar with the layout. I have high hopes that I will be able to teach myself how to use the program, there just might be a big learning curve.

Nice Job by Adobe
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Clearly the leader in digital artistry, these packages by Adobe really packs a lot of creative power for an affordable price. The wizards and step by step guides are pretty awesome. I can't wait to see what else I can create (slideshows, videos) with these Elements packages.

Great for beginners of Photo and Video Editing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gets the job done for those looking for some extra tools to edit photos and videos. Initial installation took a bit longer than expected, both Photoshop and Premiere Elements came on their own installation disc. But after getting them installed and updated, getting started on a project was easy. The interface on both applications is intuitive and makes the whole editing process simple for both amateurs, novices, and even people that already have working knowledge of Photoshop and Premiere. Some of the key functions are essentially automated (users don't have to know a lot about colors, black/white balance, saturation, and so forth, so all you would have to do is point and click to get an end result. Similar to how you might end photos or videos on a mobile device, just tap on an option and the application will do it for you. People can now worry less about learning how to work the product and more about getting their projects completed.

Good photo and video editing software
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from version 12 to this version and I'd say it's a good upgrade for anyone using Premier and anyone who uses the Photo Organizer. The interface was updated since version 12 to make the guided edits easier thought I don't like them and prefer the expert mode and wish it could just stay in expert mode so I don't have to choose all the time. In Premiere there were a few upgrades and the Remix feature is pretty awesome and makes putting together collages of videos and photos a snap. In Photoshop Elements there weren't as many things that I would use that I found in the new version that weren't in the prior version. Overall I recommend this upgrade if you can upgrade and if you don't have a photo/video editor this is a must have as it makes organizing your photos and being able to do basic edits with the ability to make your own videos.

An incremental upgrade like always
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you didn't know, these are the entry level versions of the adobe photo and video editing software. They are now up to edition 15. They usually only offer incremental changes to functionality and this release is no different. These new versions offer touch functionality, that's the biggest obvious difference I noticed. Photoshop Elements also adds adjustments to batches of photos, searching photos by what appears in them, and a way to change the way the face looks (frowns into smiles, etc). Premiere Elements has a new way to take the haze off videos, also I noticed a feature to better match videoclip and sound/music length. Its also easier to make collages of videos with photos. Definitely worth the upgrade if you are a few versions behind and/or want to try out the touch functionality.

Nice software for the non power photo/video editor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've always been a bit wary of buying/trying the full version of Photoshop (as I have), then this is a good piece of software to take for a spin. The instructions are intuitive and the GUI is easy to learn and master. The quality of the effects seems to be good for my non-professional eyes. However, the process of downloading the software for those of use without a DVD drive (probably most of us) is not ideal. These comments also apply to the videographer features of the software (ie, Premiere Elements).

Great Adobe Product (as usual)
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some nice features include Smart Tags, which are applied automatically and help to identify features in images. Search for 'baby' and identify photos with a baby in your photo collection. Quick Edit and Organizer modes allow for 'instant fix' edits to be applied to multiple photos. Premiere Elements 15 is Adobe's entry-level video editing software, and offers tools available in Photoshop CC and Elements. The Remix feature allows for matching of music and video clip length.

Continued Excellence
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had prior versions of this program, and the quality and improvement of this one is great. Being a familiar user, I am already accustomed to the program, so the learning curve was non existent. I believe for a new user, it could be picked up fairly quickly. Overall, a great product and inexpensive way to manage your photos.

Not So Picturesque!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As with the regular Photo Shop Elements 15, I found this software to be difficult in the download process as well. I chose a Lenovo 2 in 1 laptop with an i3 processor to download the software to and man was it an arduous process in relation to time and the overall set up process. Previously, I downloaded the regular Photoshop Elements 15 with the aid of CDs. My 2 in1 does not have a CD/DVD drive; therefore, I followed the enclosed card that gave directions on how to download the software if a user’s PC doesn’t have a CD/DVD drive. Moreover, since I experienced a time consumed download with the CD/DVD installation process, I thought the process would be less time consuming by downloading and inputting the serial number that accompanies the software via Internet. Boy was I wrong! This process took even more time than it did with the CD/DVD installation. I understand that the file is large; after 2 downloads, I thought everything was completed. However, it was not and I had to do a final download in order to complete the process. Suffice to say, I was worn out and gravely disappointed in the process. I truly feel the software writers could have written a program that is more user friendly. The directions on Adobe’s website that downloads the software are not clear. Also, as with the regular Photo Shop 15, the program imported all of my pictures along with other things such as songs (in which I have 300 plus in Dropbox) which I found odd because of the fact songs have no relation to picture content. As with the regular Photoshop Elements 15, with all the time that it consumed to get everything set up and going, it negates the overall likability of this software.
