It was bought for someone, but they love it, said it was great!

i bought in hopes of the higher end name offering me features that I truely miss with microsoft digital image, but still is no where close. find the tools harder to work but may just take time. grabbed due to a sale price being offered.

but heck, what do I know? I'm having a hard time finding my way around this software. Other freeware (VSDC) was more user friendly, but slow. Based on what the You Tubers tell me, however, Adobe is supposed to be the best place to get started...

Since these are essentially three separate bundled products let me first start with the Organizer, this program allows you to import all your media, apply tags and sort and filter. If you have an extensive media library (I have almost twenty years of digital media consisting of photos and video) it makes it extremely handy to view with Organizer and of course bring directly into Photoshop Elements (photos) or Adobe Elements (video) to include in your projects. I have struggled with sorting through all this digital media and have not found a program that has done this as well since I had product called ThumbsPlus which was discontinued years ago. Adobe Photoshop Elements provides you with a plethora of tools to fix and tune existing photos, create slick looking slide shows and add creative elements to your photos. It is geared towards a mid-level consumer who wants to do a little more than simple tuning provided as part of your photo app in the typical smartphone. I especially like the slider tool that can show before and after views of your photo as you apply different elements and tuning. The program is very capable, has a bit of a learning curve, but is able to perform some interesting tasks along with the most basic standard tuning. For convenience it offers Quick (which provides basic tuning functions and Auto Fix), Guided (a mode which guides you through an editing process) and Expert (which basically leaves it to you to use all the tools available in any way you choose). There is quite a bit of help available within the program and video tutorials, but be aware most if not all of it is online based and not installed locally on your computer, so if you do not have an internet connection at the time, you will not be able to access it (this applies to the Adobe Premier Elements product also). A good product that offers more than the basic tools and is less intimidating than Adobe Photoshop, most non-professionals will find that is more than adequate for their needs. Adobe Premier Elements is the video editing tool in this suite, it is very capable and also provides Quick, Guided and Expert modes. I have been playing with the program for a little while and find that it is pretty responsive, sporadically locking for a few seconds during editing. I did decide while using the program that my laptop was not the most capable machine for editing video, with 8GB of RAM and a lower tier Intel i5 processor with an integrated graphics chip. I updated my Desktop to one that is more suitable for video editing an 8 core processor, 4GB discrete video card and a Solid State Drive (SSD). I do think the SSD is critical to a good experience with video creation as it provides fast file access and improves the speed in rendering (producing you final video file). As for the program, it offers a bunch of different options to create videos, including a pretty neat feature where you can place different videos in separate windows in the video you create, almost like a multi camera shoot. You can also use this function to create a collage of videos in a single video. Overall there is a lot to explore and play with in this program, again there are a help resources available within the program and you need an internet connection to access them. Pros: - Different modes for different ability levels Quick, Guided and Expert. - Good media Organizer application included. - Capable products with a plethora of online help and tutorials available. - Interface is intuitive and fairly easy to use. - Good choice for most people, as Adobe’s Photoshop and Premier Pro (video) products are very complicated. Cons: - Requires an online account with Adobe. - Video import options can be finicky. - Rendering video is not the quickest. - Most Help options are online and not installed locally on your computer - Video editing requires a pretty capable computer

I got this programmed based on lots of other people saying it was awesome, super easy etc... I haven't dove into it much but plan on learning as much as I can. My review would be better if I understood how to function it better.

I still like the first version that I got back in 2000 but stop working because of ram size so this is my second update and I can still do most of the stuff that I did with the 2000 one it just seem to be more difficult

I wanted to edit some of my video taken with my Canon GL1 and an earlier Sony video camera. I get a message that it does not support my data. I wish I had known before purchase.

So this is much more cost effective than getting the Adobe monthly subscription. Although the monthly subscription has many more products included. I have nor dug into the features but it seems the Photoshop version is greatly slimmed down in terms of features and what can be done. I could be wrong about this because I have not spent enough time to learn everything yet but at first glance it is very disappointing.

It may take a little while to learn it. I had and old Adobe Photo that I could do more with and it was easier to use.

This software package is just okay. I have had Cyberlink before and I think it was better and easier to use in most situations.

If you dint know photo editing, this will be difficult to use. I have yet to use it since the first time i tried.
