I hadn't used a version of photoshop in a long time but this is awesome. It is not the billion feature maze of classic photoshop or premier to just edit a quick photo or throw a video together. The best features you are actually going to need are shown in easy to read toolbars.

As always, Adobe delivers with simple edits using the Elements edition. No need to purchase the CC license if all you're doing are simple edits with pictures and videos.. Just install and go.

I recently received the Photoshop Elements 2018 for the MacBook. Below are my thoughts. Set Up: Downloading the software and installing it on the MacBook took about 30 minutes. It was pretty straightforward. You can download the software directly from the adobe website if you do not have a CD drive using the product key that came with your software. Use: I am a beginner when it comes to editing photos. This is my second version of photoshop that I have owned. The best feature that I use is guided edits and this year it’s been refreshed and updated. It’s now easier and works flawlessly. I’m also enjoying the new Elements Organizer app that allows you to organize and search your photo library for the best photos to edit. Overall I have really enjoyed this new version of Photoshop.

Some Toad at Adobe decided that we don't want to burn Blu Ray's. Since that is ALL I burn, it makes Premiere Elements 2018 completely useless. Also - if you use an earlier version of PE, you will find that when manually scanning a video clip in PE 2018 the sound is now choppy and nearly unintelligible. The final straw is that a project that you have edited in PE 2018 cannot be opened in earlier versions that CAN burn Blu Ray's. You will have to reedited your whole project again in the earlier version. PE 2018 IS NOT AN IMPROVEMENT, AND CERTAINLY NOT WORTH BUYING. See if you can find PE 2014 which works well and is full featured. As for the Organizer (which cannot be turned off). - who wants it and who needs it.

Never used a photoshop program before so was a bit apprehensive. It comes with two cd disks one for Mac and one for PC. Also for those that don’t have a cd drive there is a link that you can go to for downloading. Once you install it you enter the code that comes with it and your done. Very easy install. For novice users like me it has a lot of easy to understand tutorial choices which I was able to add, merge, manipulate pictures right away. It’s a program that takes time to master but so much for to play around with.

As a photographer I have used adobe products for years. I personally believe they have some of the best editing software. Adobe photoshop and premier elements 2018 are welcomed updates to the software suite. They are both feature loaded and allow me to produce professional quality photos and videos. The only downside that I see to this software is that at some point it will become outdated. It is still a great set of software for anyone who does not want to be tied down to a subscription based software.

"Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 & Premiere Elements 2018" is so easy to use a child could do it. It lets us correct all the inconsistencies in the pictures my wife and I take so they all end up looking like they were taken by a professional photographer. More than worth the money.

I've used Corel VideoPro for the last few years and it is easy to use and does not take five minutes to load from the click of the icon. I'm not impressed with this Adobe product - it is not superior to the lower priced Corel product and seems to be more hype than promise. The Corel was far more easy to use and more intuitive to learn. I would not recommend this product even if it cost the same as the Corel product. This is not remarkable in any facet.

The Photoshop Editor is great, especially for pros. The only negative is that when saving your edited image, the default format is PSD, Photoshop's format. That format can only be seen in the Photoshop program itself, not Windows or devices. The Organizer program is bad. One needs to import photos from Windows File Explorer. One needs to fumble around to find the "import" button. If one has the same image in multiple collections, Organizer will import only one. The Adobe forum shows a ton of reviews from users who have numerous different problems with Organizer. Yet Adobe does not fix them. Organizer was so difficult that I learned how to use Windows Photos editor which is within Windows 10's File Explorer. It is excellent for an amateur like me. No need to "import" images. I uninstalled Photoshop.

Bought this to install on my travel laptop to edit vacation videos and photos. Disk based product bought over the counter. First it REQUIRED me to create an Adobe ID and password. Not done yet. Doesn't come with an activation serial number. Comes with a redemption code that you have to log into your mandatory account to enter. Not done yet. When you enter the redemption code you THEN get a serial number. Not done yet. NOW you go back and enter the serial number into the install program. I found it was far easier to just return it.

I thought it was my computer that needed updating , thinking... that's why this product wasn't working but nope ... updated my computer which wasn't old at all , and still wasn't able to edit videos like how I needed to . I don't know why but this was definitely a waste of money for me .
