Good as a decor, and best part, it is all automatic. Couple of things to make sure: 1. The plants should not overgrow and should be trimmed regularly. 2. Some plants grow faster and bigger than others. Make sure to trim them more frequently, otherwise the slower plants would die. 3. The reminder for water/food is subtle red light blinking on the bottom. Make sure it is not covered or hidden.

Great greens . Some issues

Cats knocked the thing over> tons of water all over the table and hard wood floor :(. —Lesson #1>>> protect against mischievous pets! 2. Its too small for the greens>>> they start to crowd after 2 weeks> I love that they grow so fast... but this should be bigger and a different shape>>> round like the one for herbs. 3. Greens grow fast but 2 of them NEVER sprouted even waited 2 weeks :(

She likes seeing the buds coming out of the pods and she is excited to try the different pods available to use with this AeroGarden. They are growing slowly, but it is fun to see the progress! Perfect gift for people who love to grow their own herbs or garden, but live in an apartment.

She has really become quite the gardener since we have all been pretty much confined this year. I really wanted one with herbs, so I bought the herb seed kit if she wanted to substitute them for the flowers. She was delighted. Not often I can find the perfect gift for someone. This one wasabi net.
