Good headphones...take a bit to get used to

These headphones have full sound about on par with Apple earbuds. The bone conduction does take a bit to get used to as any bass at all causes the phones to actually vibrate on your temples. They do allow you to hear what is happening around you as they do not block out the ambient noise.
Prior to using them I was not aware that they were wired headphones. The packaging is not clear on that. The addition of a large rectangular box at the end of the wire to allow for charging is awkwardly placed and these do not come with an adapter to use any iPhone with a lightning port.

Cool, not 100% practical

Really cool concept, but unfortunately execution fell a little short. On the positive side, the headphones feature a light/comfortable fit, sleek/minimalist design, and have good sound & microphone quality for phone calls. The bone conduction technology is a welcome relief from the fatigue that is often associated with wearing both over-ear headphones or ear buds for long periods of time.
On the other hand, there were a few drawbacks that I found hard to ignore. One was with the product design itself-- the headphones are connected to a large, rectangular battery pack that feels awkward and out of place (given the sleek/light overall design). This pack is particularly noticeable while running or working out in general. Second-- the sound. While the sound is acceptable for phone calls, the lack of bass made listening to genres like hip hop or electronic pretty uninspiring. Additionally, when the volume is turned up it becomes distracting to people nearby, as they can easily hear what you're listening to...
Overall, I felt the product performs fairly well relative to the price tag, but I would stop short of recommending it.

Overall, this item met or exceeded my expectations for a pair of headphones. I have never been much of a earbud fan, so I usually rock the over ear standard headphone look. It may not be the most trendy way to listen to music/youtube/my trusty podcasts at work, but it gets the job done and doesn't fall out of my ears a million times.
Eagerly, I waited for the arrival of these headphones, as I needed a new pair at work. My first impression was that I was rather impressed with their solid packaging. The box was very pleasing to the eye and it seemed solid and like the enclosed product was quality made. The headphones themselves felt a bit delicate at first, and made me feel like they might be easily breakable, especially if you are rough with them, as I tend to be. I tried to plug them in and test them as soon as I got them (I was eagerly waiting for them, remember?) but immediately out of the box they turned on once and then did not work. I wasn't expecting them to need charging in order to work. I still don't really understand why that is necessary, as they are not wireless headphones, but it is the case. Turning them on for the first time was surprisingly a bit more complex than I expected as well, as you need to hold the power button down for a few seconds to turn them on and then again to turn them off. I'm still not sure why they need to be turned on, as I expect wired headphones to plug in and amplify noise.
The cheekbone sound idea takes a bit to get used to, but I do appreciate the open ear design.
After charging them overnight, I used them at work all day and enjoyed crisp clear sound that did not disturb my neighbors when it was played through my podcast application, but YouTube audio did produce some excess music that could be heard by those in close range. I liked the idea of being able to have my ears free to hear if a co-worker needed me, but still be able to hear my music. I did have some issues adjusting the volume when the controls switched from my phone to the buttons on the headset cord, because it took a minute for the headphones to adjust up or down once the audio adjustment on my phone was made.
I enjoyed these headphones and would recommend them to others if they are looking for headphones that are pretty unobtrusive (they did not fall down or move much on my face during use) and produce crisp and clear sound quality. I would not recommend this to younger people, as I do believe the headphones are a bit delicate and would be an expensive pair to replace regularly. Additionally, I would suggest making sure that others are aware they do need to be charged, as this is something I was initially surprised by. This is a review for the AfterShokz Sportz Titanium w/Mic Bone Conduction Headphones that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I was generally surprised at how good the headphones were overall. While they are not audiophile sound quality, for most they should be more then enough. The headphones are surprisingly comfortable and I could wear them for quite a few hours with out being annoyed which is more then I can say for other high end headphones that start to annoy me after an hour or two.
Regarding the Microphone, I had no complaints from people when wearing it so I assume it was quite clear as well. My only issue was with the buttons and how they worked. I just didnt really like the feel of them and they also didnt work on my phone. This is likely due to me having a windows phone though, but for anyone using Android or an iPhone, I would assume it works perfectly fine.

These headphones are an interesting concept. When I received them I was thinking the were going to be different using more of a vibration then speakers but they still work just fine. The sounds is great on it and it can get loud. I have used them for listening to music and playing some games. The mic on it is a great plus as well.
Tho they are a bit uncomfortable at first and does take some getting used to after a while. I would recommend these to my friends if they are looking for a new headphone. Solid pair, don't expect much sound-wise

These are a solid pair of headphones. Good build quality, great look, and they definitely work very well. In my experience, the headphones did not fit on my head very well, with the band not making good contact with my head. This caused them to become crooked and uneven. Although they were not positioned correctly most of the time, they remained very comfortable. Another thing to note is the audio quality. The bone conduction technology definitely leaves something to be desired, being a little worse than Apple's EarPods.
However, if you don't really care about audio quality, these are very good headphones. The in-line remote/mic works very well, and the battery life is very good. Mine lasted multiple days with moderate usage on one charge. I would recommend only using these alone or in loud areas because you can most certainly hear whatever audio the user is listening to while next to them. Overall, I definitely recommend them despite having some problems.

Great Headphones

These headphones are definitely different and took some time getting used to. I used them for gaming, listening to music and talking on my phone at work, and on my motorcycle. The headphones can fit into a helmet (although slightly uncomfortable) and sound great, once the helmet is off and riding without one sound can only be heard under 30MPH.
I enjoy laying in bed and watching movies on my tablet when I can't sleep and to not wake my wife I use headphones. Here is where the one star loss comes in, the sound has to be almost at full volume to hear the talking on the movies. I may try them again for that reason but with my wives iPad as they have the better sound quality through headphones. Other than that I love these headphones. I have been using this headphones for some days, and the sound is really authentic and the vibration at high volume is a different experience. Normally headphones are not very confortable for me, but I do not really feel these ones, are very light and I do not really feel them.
Maybe I am not using at the right way, but if the volume is high, people around me can hear the sound.

Interesting Alternative To Conventional Headphones
Posted .

These headphones are pretty cool. They are almost impossible to lose while exercising, they are well sealed from water, and they are amazingly well crafted. I have but a few complaints that I will address in a moment. The sound quality is clear and crisp, they get plenty loud and yet you can still hear conversations around you, which is something I like. The battery charges quickly and lasts a long time, it comes with its own charging cable and a case too.
Now for the things I don't like: The quality of sound is there but certain upper and mid ranges are extremely lacking. For example Phil Collin's In the Air Tonight is lacking something. That is my biggest pet peeve, some songs it's not a problem while others it is. My second problem is if you have a case then they might be hard to use if you like your phone in your pocket.
In conclusion if you exercise and are fed up with conventional headphones, these are great. If you are buying for audiophiliac reasons, I would try elsewhere.

Yes, I know my headphones are not in my ears

I've heard about bone conduction for a while but had never seen any device in the affordable range. I like music and use headphones a lot; moreover I use my heapdhones with mic constantly to talk over the phone; so when the option came up I was like "Why not?"
To be honest I had low expectations of bone conduction and was expecting a gimmic... boy was I wrong.
These headphones are great (under the right circumstances):
- Are you an audiophile who claims to have sensitive ears that can pick up the most subtle vibrations? Then these are not for you.
- Do you like to get yourself closer to permanent ear damage every day by blasting loud music directly to your eardrums? Then these are not for you.
- Do you simply enjoy the flexibility of listening to whatever you want and still be able to be aware of the world outside then these are great.
You can still pump the volume all the way up (which is actually higher than I expected) and get the sound paired with a decent temple massage but mind that in those cases some of the vibrations might actually escape and be listened by people around you.
In summary I am very impressed. These are not hi-def headphones but they work great for me, bone conduction is not at all a gimmick as I was expecting. My only callout is that these should come with a disclaimer or sticker somewhere that says "Yes, I know my headphones are not in my ears" to stop people from telling you that all day long

THE DESIGN: When I opened the box, I faced a large U shaped device that fits around the head and over the ears. When I tried to fold up the earphones into a smaller form factor, the stiff plastic didn't give and made the headphones annoying to transport. Also, the plastic going over the ears to the speakers is rather thick. I don't wear glasses, but I'm sure anyone using glasses with thick earpieces might have some trouble with getting a good fit while wearing the headphones. Also, any attempt to tilt my head even slightly above vertical caused the headphones to slip and the speakers to slip out of position, ruining the sound. As an airline pilot, I spend a lot of time in hotel rooms. Sometimes finding enough plugs to charge all my gadgets can be difficult. This is why I opted for the wired version of the headphones. Thus I was surprised and disappointed that this model comes with a battery pack. A battery pack that is oddly shaped and not comfortable that also causes the headphones to not work at all if the battery is off. A battery pack that only seemed to last 3 hours when it is advertised to last over 12.
THE SOUND: After fumbling with the tiny rubber cover over the USB charger socket, I plugged the headphones in to charge them, then listened to various songs. Since the speakers conduct the sound through the bones of the skull and not the ears, my mind kept trying to ignore the music in favor of what was coming through my ears. This might work well if you need to listen to other noises, but didn't help that all I wanted to do was listen to music. Honestly, it sounded like somebody playing music through a cheap stereo in the next room over. The sound was slight and tinny. There is no bass at all. None. When I turned up the volume to try and get a better sound experience, my cheeks started to buzz and vibrate uncomfortably. After trying to make the headphones fit and trying to adjust the position for the best sound, I gave up. Better luck next try.

Cool Tech but Awful in Noisy Areas

While this is a cool technical device because it doesn't rest in your ears...the downside of that is your ears are always open to any and all noise while you're using it. So, if you're at a Starbucks and it's noisy, you can't hear anything through the earbuds because you can't filter out the background noise.
I'd recommend them if you will only use in a quiet areas, otherwise you will be disappointed.
