Akira was a landmark in animation for its time, and remains a visual marvel today. A great lot is lost in adaptation from manga to anime, and its ending only confounds the more one attempts to dissect it, but at its heart is about a bond of friendship even in the face of an apocalyptic rift.

This Steelbook is absolutely amazing. It has an extremely nice embossed design to it and the bluray move itself looks and sounds fantastic!

Saw it on sale. Traded in my OG Pioneet bluray for it. No regrets.

I have had this movie on VHS for EVER and found it on bluray and i am so glad i did. Movie is amazing. Looks and sounds amazing.

My all time favorite anime. The Blu Ray looks and sounds great, and having all three dubs (Japanese, Streamline, and Pioneer) is awesome.

Great flick. Had not watched it since I had it on laserdisc back in the 1990s. It still holds up compared to today's animation standards.

This was one of the first Anime features that I ever watched. The story line is still applicable today despite it being over 25 years since it came out.

Great product. This is the first "anime" I've ever actually watched and it was an amazing intro. Very much like Blade Runner in terms of style.
