Picked this one up because I'm on a bit of a steel book kick (though this one isn't actually from Steelbook) and the embossing is really nice.

I was never really into anime but after watching Akira it got me hooked. To this day nothing is still as good as this movie and it's a must own for any anime fan!

This Blu ray copy is great because it has both English dub audio options, I used to watch this on VHS and and prefer the 80's English dub version.

Love this classic. It is a visual treat, its story is unforgiving, the action is brutal yet breathtaking. Must have for any true anime collector.

One of the first anime movies I had ever watched, with it being remastered, it looks amazing, and brings back tons of nostalgia.

I really enjoy this movie and was surprised at how clear the picture is considering the age of the film. A must-have for any anime fan!

There was only one scene in the entire movie that I didn't care for. This anime is a great original work of art and would be a good addition to an anime library.

Akira was a landmark in animation for its time, and remains a visual marvel today. A great lot is lost in adaptation from manga to anime, and its ending only confounds the more one attempts to dissect it, but at its heart is about a bond of friendship even in the face of an apocalyptic rift.

Akira is a classic. The 4k UHD was mastered without Dolby Vision in this release in the US while it does have DV in Japan... Funimation has a disc replacement program. Make sure that if you buy this, you request a replacement.
