Bought this copy for my brother because he's asked about it. Although it does not sound as good as the limited edition that was released a little while ago it still has great quality for any fan of the movie. The special features are better then the previous release so that is definitely a plus for anyone looking for more content. This film was way ahead of it time and is deff worth a watch for anyone interested.

I got this only for the streamline dub from Carl Macek. I waited years for this and it’s finally here in its true HDR glory!

Akira was a groundbreaking movie when it premiered and is one of my favorites. A gorgeously animated classic that stands the test of time in blu ray. If you are into anime or are curious, there is no better movie to see.

Previous 4K release wasn’t in HDR, but this is. Major improvement. Highly recommended.

If you love Anime then you’re already familiar with Akira. It’s a classic, so very easy to pick up especially on 4K.

Have loved Akira since i saw it many moons ago, and seeing it in 4K HDR is quite a treat!

Akira is the movie that opened my eyes to adult animated movies. The story can be hard to follow on the first viewing, like any good sci-fi/drama/intellectual film, allowing to understand more the more you watch it.

Even if you don’t like anime films this is the one you have to check out it’s kind of like the godfather of anime

While at BestBuy randomly one day my son spotted this set and was ecstatic because he LOVES Akira, well now it's been Akira on repeat for the past few weeks. It's fine by me; I know almost every word now.

I purchased this item to have signed by the voice actor that played Kaneda! JYB was also the OG Black Ranger from the mighty morphin power rangers ! I love Akita though it is a classic anime.

This version of Akira has an HDR upgrade and it really shows. Vivid color and crisp detail make this a great release.

I didn’t think this movie could get any better! I was mistaken. The 4K transfer is excellent. I’d highly recommend buying this piece of ART!

This has always been a favorite of mine. It becoming a sale item was the deciding factor in my purchase. Ir you haven't seen it: Great and musical soundtrack. Excellent animation (vintage, but very good).

Akira is such a fantastic animated film. To anyone who enjoys this movie, I highly recommend you go and read the manga to find out how the story really unfolded! You won't be disappointed.
