Akira is a must own anime for any anime lover. Very happy that this disc offers all three audio versions. Original Japanese, original Streamline English dub, and the Pioneer remastered English dub.

I previously owned the director's cut DVD and loved the video quality and special features - but this Blu-ray takes the cake. It is the definitive version in terms of quality and extras for every Akira fan.

One of the greatest animated films ever now in 4k. Nice box with incredible art and an interesting booklet. Only negative is no digital copy.

Knowing Akira was ahead of its time when it was released; having it on Blu-Ray makes it all better. The collector steel case was an added bonus to an already great piece of art.

My grandson picked this out, he really liked it, I know this because after he watched it he brought it to me and told me I needed to watch it, he loves movies and knows we do also.

This ended up being a great purchase, it has the original 1980s dialogue which makes this movie a master piece. I'm not too big on anime but I love this movie and If you like anime, this is you have to buy.

Bought this for my brothers 40th Bday. He was so happy to have it, because the sound and some of the artwork was remastered. Also at Best Buy the price was just right, couldn't turn it down.

Akira is an absolute classic of Japanese animation. Can't recommend highly enough. If you don't like it the first time you watch it, watch it again; you missed something.

I had my doubts as I watched the television show when I was a kid so I had hopes it wouldn't be as say, ridiculous. But to my surprise the film was more serious and had some good action

What more can be said about one of the most influential anime movies of all time? This blu ray is a fine version of the film. I think it is a must-buy for any fan of the genre, or sci fi movies in general.

Great movie. Great remaster. It has the 2001 dub and the also the 1988 dub to choose from. Classic that will always hold up to time.

Epic, awe inspiring anime wonder. 4K picture and sound mix is phenomenal . This movie may never look or sound better.
