This transfer is slightly better than the other edition we got in the States, and it's much cheaper and easier to find. Might not be worth double-dipping, but if you never bought this movie now's the time.

I was waiting for a new release of Akira on Blu Ray for some time and this version does not disappoint. Truly the best presentation of this Anime classic I have ever seen. A must for fans of Akira or anime.

This animation was WAY ahead of it’s time back in the day and 4K just makes it look that much better.

I had always heard about Akira, but never had seen it. The movie went on sale and I am glad I picked it up. THis is a must buy if you are an old school anime lover!!

An anime classic that should be experienced by any serious anime fan.

There's nothing new here as far as content goes. What's new is the case. Embossed metalpack. And the addition of a 32 page booklet. If you're a true collector, go ahead and double dip. If you just want the movie, go with the cheaper earlier release, all the content is still there.

Fantastic entry in Anime now in 4K. It is a great watch classic.

Mainly bought this for the lovely steelbook that has a 3d effect on it. Heat movie regardless, but if you've already got the movie on bluray, get this only if you like steelbooks

Amazing visuals bring this classic into the modern age. With all the extras, this packs a punch. I was able to take off dubbing, use the original Japanese soundtrack and put on subtitles. Awesome buy!!

I came across a lone copy of this classic on Black Friday and had to get it. Having a copy on hand to watch over and over is helping with writing a series of short stories inspired by it!

I got this movie because I had been wanting to see it for a long time and it was fantastic. Best Buy is the only place I've ever been able to purchase it at and I'm sure glad I did.
