any cinephile or anime freak should watch this at least once, it pushed the envelope and still does with the amount of films it influenced regardless of geography.

Got this for my son. He didnt think I ever listened to him and he was surprised that I got this. Loves this movie. Recommend to anyone who is into Anime.

This is one my my all time favorite movies. When I learned that this collector's case was coming out I knew I had to get it. Everyone must watch this movie.

Classic film and one of the best ever. Now looking better than ever in 4K and this packaging is awesome.

Excellent collector's edition. Akira is an anime classic, and I am happy to upgrade my old DVD. The only thing to note is that you have to request a replacement 4k disc from Funimation because it does not have HDR. Otherwise, this is great.

Epic anime! Not suitable for kids, very graphic violence for a "cartoon". Great story involving government, military, psychic power, and apocalypse.

Long considered one of the best classic animes to date. Not a lot of changes with Blu Ray but looking forward to exploring all the special features.

The story may be a bit slow and sometimes hard to follow, but it is a beautiful story about a psychotic break down, an unfortunate biker, and the destruction of Neo Tokyo

Finally got to pick this up in a steelbook for the anniversary. It's gorgeous and has embossing on the steelbook. A must-have for any fan of this anime.

The 4K looks great. Really enjoyed the film and consider it one of the best anime

Looks great on both Bluray & DVD.I must admit that there were a few certen scenes that did'nt look like it was remasterd.Or done as well as it should have been.

It is so nice to see Akira on blu-ray, I have been searching for this anime for the longest time! The extras are lacking, but I feel like that is pretty common with animes.
