If you fancy yourself an anime watcher you have to watch this one. It's a classic and critics have claimed it one of the best movies (animated or not) of all time.

Classic! The anime that started it all! Awesome!

Regardless of the age of this work, it remains a masterpiece. The animation, story, music...all converge to become a feast for your senses.

The granddaddy of anime gets the bluray treatment and comes to a new generation. Required viewing for any serious fan of anime and great films.

This movie started it all for me in my introduction into Anime. Great movie, great soundtrack and great original concept. A must watch.

I have been waiting for Akira for a long time I am super excited about the video transfer and the sound is amazing. I watched it on my projector and it was glorious.

Picked this one up because I'm on a bit of a steel book kick (though this one isn't actually from Steelbook) and the embossing is really nice.

Looks better in HDR. The sound is amazing too! Highly recommend.

This Blu ray copy is great because it has both English dub audio options, I used to watch this on VHS and and prefer the 80's English dub version.

I was never really into anime but after watching Akira it got me hooked. To this day nothing is still as good as this movie and it's a must own for any anime fan!

Akira is a classic. The 4k UHD was mastered without Dolby Vision in this release in the US while it does have DV in Japan... Funimation has a disc replacement program. Make sure that if you buy this, you request a replacement.

For fans of anime and/or movie collectors, Akira is a movie that everybody should have like I mentioned it is another Japanese anime classic.

Love this classic. It is a visual treat, its story is unforgiving, the action is brutal yet breathtaking. Must have for any true anime collector.

One of the first anime movies I had ever watched, with it being remastered, it looks amazing, and brings back tons of nostalgia.

The bluray edition of this animated gem makes the colors pop and the action even more vibrant. Well worth the spend to update from the dvd version
