The movie that brought anime back to the states, best anime

I loved this movie when I was a kid, looks great in 4k.

I always watch this movie! It's the best japan animation movie. Especially this is steelbook, it is gonna be rare to find it.

IF YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT THIS MOVIE YOU NEED TO SEE ESPECIALLY IF YOUR INTO ANIME ONE THE BEST CLASSICS OUT THERE

This is a good movie, but it is deep and very complicated. I only recommend it for sci-fi and anime nerds. The blue ray edition is stunning with rich colors. This is the best version you can own. The new voice recordings are far superior to the original too.

The more I have come to watch this film, the more I have come to see it as a true masterpiece of animation and storytelling.

My favorite anime movie. The soundtrack plus the scenes make an epic work of art.

Colors pop! Sound is crackin. Dubs are fun to cycle through. I wish it had come with a digital download. Must have for anime enthusiasts.

Popped this straight into my blu-ray when I got home from the store, was blown away after the movie was finished. A true masterpiece in Anime.

"Akira" is worth collecting for any fan who loves Japanese animation films.

Came across this one at a reduced sales price. Hard to pass up at the right price. Really like the collector's steelbook.

So I heard Akira defines this certain movie genre and that it was a must-watch. Finally watched it and now I feel like I have to read up on the Manga to fully understand what I just watched. Dont know if that's good or bad but the movie is very interesting to say the least.

So happy to own one of my favorite pieces of sci-fi for a reasonable price. Thank you Best Buy!

This is a movie I've seen several times, and love it more every time! If you like anime, I recommend seeing this movie!

Still looks as amazing on Blu-ray today as it did when I saw it on VHS . The addition of both dubs is a nice bonus.

Decent remaster of a classic anima movie but would not pay list price for it.

The improvement is very small but its a must have for any fan of anime and Akira but having the last edition is as much as this 40+ movie can be clean, but still super cool.
