Funny movie great family movie. Would recommend movie.

It was watchable, once. I will prob never watch it again.

5-7 year old kids will laugh, sometimes.I struggled to get through it but since I like Steve Carell I made it through. Not very good at all.

Not worth it to see if you don't have kids, the actors are good, but the story is annoying. Kids and families might be entertained

Movie is not too good.....if not for Jennifer Garner, I would not watched the whole movie.

I am on my second copy of this movie. 25 mins into the movie, the scene selection window pops up and won't go away. I don't know if this is happening to copies at other store but I will be taking this one back again. I thought it was my blu Ray player but no other movies we have do this.

This movie seemed more stupid than funny. I like to laugh.

The "family comedy" genre has been under-explored, and I think it's got so much potential. Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day takes the basic premise (as well as Alexander's liking for Australia) from the beloved children's story and does really funny things with it. After seeing it in the theater, I'm already looking forward to getting it on home entertainment (DVD/Blu-ray). Whereas the children's book is a rant by Alexander which allows you to see the impact attitude has on making a day good or bad, the movie makes Alexander a more clear-headed character, more of a real victim. Then he makes a birthday wish that the rest of his family could know what it's like to suffer like he is, and the next day, things go great for him and awfully for everyone else in his family. Steve Carell, playing the dad, is so funny because he is literally NEVER in despair in the midst of extreme calamity in the movie. He also does some fabulous shrimp-catching in his mouth, which is my favorite scene. It's structured as a series of incidents affecting each family member, where things are going great for everyone except Alexander, things go great for Alexander and horribly for everyone else, and then they decide to look on the bright side and find solutions to their problems by sticking together. It's refreshing (because it's so rare) to have a comedy made today with that carefree kind of attitude and a PG rating. It'd be funny if the busted vehicle--it looks REALLY bad after a failed driver's license exam--was bought at an auction of movie props and put on display somewhere someday.

A great movie which shows that things can be worse and be glad for your family. Sometimes timing and luck are only things that separates you from others. About a boy who wishes others can understand that his life is one "terrible" day after another. His family seems to have good luck and great lives. One day, each has a "bad day" or bad luck. A very funny movie and a great kids movie. Much better than expected and a movie which can be watched over and over. Teaches kids to appreciate their lives and how to walk in someone elses shoes. Very recommended.

I am a mother to 3 children, ages 16, 13 and 7. We went to the theater to see this movie the day it opened. I thought this movie was hilarious!!! I literally laughed-out-loud through the majority of the film. I cannot wait to buy this movie so that we can all watch it again!

This movie was fun for the whole family. Whether it's Alexander (the main character), or any of his siblings, or his parents, I feel that everybody could identify with some part of the story and take a lesson from it.

This was a very fun movie! It was a movie that I could see with my entire family, including a 17 year old teenage boy! Everyone had a fun time and it has been watched over and over again!

This movie was extremely funny as I laughed throughout it. I would definitely recommend in any DVD collection if you like comedies...

This wasn't the best family film ever, but it was good, and my kids still watch it..

Haven't seen this movie yet, but I love Disney movies and it looks good.
