Just last year, I decided to watch the Alien movies for the first time. I really enjoyed the first and second the most, so it was a no-brainer to add this one to my 4K collection.

Purchased this Alien 4k release copy during a sale for $10, came with the cardboard slipcover all in great condition. Great movie had it on standard Blu Ray and wanted to upgrade.

This updated Blu-ray looks fabulous on my new 4K 70" TV. I can see much more detail on screen than ever before. This movie plays far more realistically than today's digital attempts at realism. Nothing beats this classic for sic-fi scary. I am glad I updated my collection with this Blu-ray.

As close to an original film reel as possible. Blacks look great, and with being a fairly dark movie it's a nice asset to the picture quality. A must have for horror or sci-fi fans.

This is a great movie that still works. This movie doesn't feel dated. To me this is the best in the ALIEN franchise. The blu-ray is great because you also get the director's cut. Which I enjoy even more. This is Ridley Scott's greatest film among his all time classic's.

What can I say about this movie that has not been said before....this is really a great movie with very good acting and action. If you love the Alien movies, the 40th Anniversary 4K is a great addition to your collection.

This was the movie that started space horror. I remember the slogan on the TV ad. In space no one can here you scream. Now in 4k it's the best it's going to look. Steel book makes it a must have in my collection.

This film holds up very well for having been made so long ago. Along with Blade Runner, one of Ridley Scott's best. The "Alien" universe is a nice counterpoint to the more friendly "humans in space" universes seen in "ET", Close Encounters, and arguably, Star Trek and Star Wars.

Jonesy the cat is the actual star of this film. The cat survives the unimaginable terror of an alien, and even hisses at it! Did the alien learn to hiss from Jonesy? No one will know.

First of all, the steelbook packaging is nice! The 4k version of this movie is just beautiful! Love the transfer as the details in the dark scenes of this movie look amazing in 4k! Highly recommended for Sci-Fi fans!

It’s a classic! And now it’s on 4K!! You know the movie, now it looks better than ever before. If you are looking for a great deal, it’s this movie on Black Friday.

A great steelbook for a classic movie. Everything you’d expect. I don’t open these, I just collect the steelbooks so I can’t comment on contents but I’m very happy with the purchase. Got it before it sold out!

Arguably one of the best sci-fi movies ever made, now in 4K! More realistic than ever with better quality video than you have ever seen in a theater or at home. A definite must-buy! And now we just need Aliens in 4K!

Already an excellent movie and it’s even better in 4K. The picture Quality is definitely worth the extra money and there’s a lot of great new features on the disc as well.

Watching this disc on a big, dialed-in HDR 4K screen is like seeing this movie with new eyes. Set design, lighting, acting - almost everything is enhanced here. I own the blu ray and now never watch it.

Alien is what started a legendary sci-fi universe . Ridley Scott along with the artist Gieger created a uniquely original suspenseful horror movie . One that has left its mark on movie history . A true Classic.

Watching this is 4K is the only way to get close to Ridley Scott's original vision for this movie. All of the special FX were practical FX, but they still hold up today, even on my 4K HDR setup.

You can't beat the original Alien, Plus it came with a ticket for the new Alien Covenant. You can't beat that plus it comes with the HD copy. This Blu ray version is nice and clean on my 4K t.v. with my 4K player upscaling so good I had to buy all of them.

Overall this is a nice steelbook, especially for $15. It isn't embossed and has a smooth finish, your finger prints will be all over it. The Blu-ray included is the same as the old release, for those wondering.

We all have seen this movie countless times and it never gets old. For those that haven't picked it up what are you waiting on? A facehugger to give you some love? Don't be that person and go and get this movie.
