Original movie, brand new attention to detail, got it on sale, well worth it.

Awesome movie, just as fun to watch now as it was when it first was released, especially with the 4K remaster. The 40th anniversary edition is super well done, packaging is cool, and it the movie upscale makes it look like it came out today. Awesome buy for any Alien universe fan, and the chestburster scene still is a classic!

This 4k movie looks very nice. I like the sound on the Blu-ray a little better, but the picture is fantastic. The first copy I bought was defective. It kept freezing and the jumping from scene to scene. BB took it back no problem and gave me another one. The second one had zero problem. I love Best Buy.

This movie scared me as a teenager. I am sci-fi geek, so I had to buy this on sale for $5.99. The case came with limited edition cover art. The movie is still great after all these years and the creature special effects are spectacular. I like that there is a scene "victim freezes and dies" just like a horror classic. I have seen all the movies in the series and this is still one of the best. I am waiting for the release of the new movies this summer. I would like some more back story on how the humanoid in "Alien" knew about the creature and diverted the course of the mining ship. It was also nice to see some of the same back drops from "Alien Covenant" in the movie. Those scenes help tie in other movies in the series. Pick it up, if you are an "Alien" fan. I remember having a Alien figure with a lever to activate the jaws. Just a good classic sci-fi movie. I believe this series has held up better to time over "Predator".

Can’t beat clarity. If you loved the original, you will love it in 4k!

Good movie. I like the second movie the best but this is worth a watch

Alien is one of only a few movies that has sustained its impact on me over years & years of repeat viewings.As a kid raised on Star Wars,Buck Rogers & Flash Gordon I thought space was a blast & could not wait to get there.This enthusiasm died when I first saw Alien. The movie delivers one visceral blow after another & by the time the credits are rolling you're left with an overwhelming sense of dread.Alien never feels dated or old to me & has earned its place among other Hollywood classics.

Love these movies. Looks great in 4k. Cant wait for all of them in 4k

If you like science fiction movies, suspense movies, horror movies, or any of the combined previously listed, you need to watch Alien at least once in your life. This is THE original that animated the audience to the heightened love of space-monster movies. Sigourney Weaver stars as one of the first female protagonists of the action/sci-fi genre behind Barbarella a few years earlier, the legendary Ian Holm as a humanistic android, and John Hurt in one of his earlier stints in the genre.

Who knows if we'll see the other Alien films in 4K since Disney now owns them. But this release is worth owning for fans of the film - the film has never looked this good. Audio is solid, there's also the original theatrical audio if you really want an 'old school' vibe while watching it. Both the theatrical and Director's Cut are on the disc in 4k.

over 40 years old and looks like it was filmed this year. Absolutely stunning 4k transfer with gorgeous HDR. The sound mix is a bit dated with some minor distortion but for my first time seeing this film it was an excellent experience. Might not be scary by todays standards but the artistic design for the time it was filmed is just amazing.

This film is meticulously constructed, and all of its components fit together almost perfectly. Creepily paced, wonderfully acted, and menaced throughout, Alien is one of the best films ever made. This transfer is really good & defiantly worth the upgrade. The only 2 downsides are the DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio, instead of a Dolby Atmos Track & lack of Special Features.

Not quite 4K UHD quality in the transfer from film to digital.

I love the steelbook! I just wish Fox didn't skimp on the audio!

ALIEN is my all time favorite film. It was so far ahead of film making at the time. Ridley Scott created a classic that still holds up 35 years later. I recently bought a new copy because I gave mind to a friend who has never seen the directors cut which is included on this blu-ray.I actually like the directors cut more since you get to learn what happens to Dallas and Bret. If you want to be a film maker you could learn a lot from this film.

One of the best scary movie of all time. I love this movie. The characters are great. The story and action are very comp Yang the special effects are great and are second to none. This is a very great movie to watch. Seeing it in 4K is even better. Enjoy the movie. Remember no one can hear you scream!

Probably the 3rd time I've bought this movie, 4K is great!

This film will always remain a classic. It's scary, influential and insanely entertaining. Not just that but Ridley Scott actually has a great sense of style and mood and he plays with that a lot, to make us shiver. There's also an interesting mystery surrounding the Alien which we know practically nothing about. Sigourney Weaver is just as powerful as usual and really brings strength to the film.
