The special effects are a little cheap. The dialogue is a little unusual. But if you look at the other movies made by the Sci-Fi Channel, this is probably the best one. And it's extremely great if you're a Bruce Campbell fan because he's in nearly every scene! Yes - and it's a magnificent performance as usual. But if it wasn't for him, I would have no desire to see it. Renee O'Connor does kick butt though. It's always good to see strong female characters. The movie itself is very close to Planet of the Apes. But except for monkeys, it's aliens that look like gigantic bugs. I've read so many terrible reviews for this movie, that I was expecting the worst movie ever made. But it was actually quite enjoyable. It may have been a little tacky, but it kept you engaged. But if you don't like science fiction, you won't like this.

    Made for SciFi channel movie

You really have to be a Bruce Campbell fan to be able to enjoy this movie. It was done in eastern Europe, so even though the actors speak English, they didn't speak it well enough to not need to be dubbed. But what redeemed this movie for me was the commentary done by the director and Bruce. They essentially go through and point out all the mistakes that were left in the movie (which are a lot), which makes it pretty funny.
