Alien series Always been one to keep me on edge. Love it. Hope they continue on with this series. A big fan!

This is a good sequel to the not very good but quite hyped up movie Prometheus & I enjoyed it a lot more.

I have all the other Alien movies on Blu Ray. Couldn't resist buying this one since it was on sale

I enjoyed this sequel to The Alien movie legacies. The special effects were up to par and the story was good.

This film would make a great addition to any fan's collection. Even if you're new to the series there's just enough catch up to make you interested in the prequels.

Only alien I liked more was “Aliens” one of the first movies I watched in 4K. Only way to watch this movie with all the dark scenes. Detail is awesome

I liked the movie but I was expecting a little more knowing it’s a Alien movie but it’s worth a buy.

I liked parts of this film (Ridley Scott movies always look great), but the film-makers seemed more interested in producing a horror-film product, than a tense alien sci-fi film. Also, this was the first Alien film where i did not find a majority of the cast members particularly likable. It's harder to care what happens without those feelings.

It really baffles me how much negativity some Alien fans express towards this film. To me, Alien: Covenant is one of my favorite films of the year and ranks in my top 3 Alien films of all time. It's the best film in the franchise since James Cameron's Aliens in 1986. I really enjoyed Prometheus and the more philosophical themes it explored along with the Engineers so I was really happy to see director Ridley Scott return to the Alien franchise again with Covenant. To me, Covenant is the perfect blend between, Prometheus, the original Alien, and Aliens while also feeling like a modern film and giving us the best-looking alien creature designs and scenes yet. I feel that those who disliked it just wanted a straight-up rehash of Aliens and never even gave this movie a chance based on its own merits. If you look back at the originals, they were much more straight-forward survival stories. Covenant, on the other hand, is much more ambitious in the story it is trying to tell with its themes of creations and creators. The story is nostalgic yet fresh, the cinematography and directing by Ridley Scott is stunning, the soundtrack by Jed Kurzel is eerie and atmospheric, and the movie is a dark and entertaining sci-fi horror film worthy of the Alien franchise. What I love about Covenant is all the risks this film takes and where it may go next. I really hope this film gets a sequel so I would recommend all fans of this movie to pick it up on blu ray and show Fox that we want to see this story continued. This 4K set gets my highest recommendation!

I like this movie better than the last movie. This movie told more of the Alien story. Worth watching.

I’ve been watching the Aliens series since I was a little kid. They did a great job of continuing that in this new sequel. Found on 4K is awesome

The visual effects, when watching in the theater, didn’t look all that great. However, once I saw the film on 4K, certain aspects definitely imporved.

It's an Alien film...people have bad stuff happen, but it does help to explain the overall storyline.

This movie is awesome, especially in 4K! The steel-book case is also an awesome display piece. A must for anyone who loves the alien franchise.

Very good addition to the Alien universe. Advances the story line well. On par with Prometheus.

As a human male who wasn't born until 1987, the year after James Cameron's seven-year-later sequel to Ridley Scott's 1979 masterpiece debuted, I was never overly inclined to invest much of my adolescence in Xenomophs or the lore of the talented Ms. Ripley. As someone who would unknowingly be lumped in with the millennial generation I didn't grow up with a fondness for those original films and thus they never became a critical part of the cultural landscape for me until much later in life. It might even be difficult for viewers with older tastes and dated perspectives to understand how such a film as restrained and measured as Alien might play for today's ADD audiences, but despite the fact I didn't end up seeing Scott's original film until a college screenwriting class doesn't mean I didn't understand the how and why of its effectiveness. Still, because of the life experiences that shaped who I was up until the point when I saw Prometheus in the summer of 2012 I didn't mind that it felt completely different from what Scott had established as his Alien universe in the past. Like with music and most things in life if something works and people crave more of it the artist must find a way to strike a balance between what has come before while also reinventing themselves so as not to repeat the same old shtick over and over again. While many complained about Prometheus for being too heady and not so reliant on thrills or action Scott, along with screenwriters John Logan and Dante Harper, have seemingly course corrected for the sake of the fans with Alien: Covenant as the film more or less meshes what Prometheus started and what fans seemingly wanted in a new Alien movie. That isn't to say it all melds seamlessly or that Covenant is all the better for attempting to strike such a balance, but rather that it wants to have its cake and eat it too. As an individual who has no vested interest in continuing the Alien franchise as it once was, but who really dug Prometheus, I was slightly disappointed the more philosophical aspects of the film were traded in for more formulaic action beats and scares, but while Covenant may be a safer movie than Prometheus as well as a less effective film than Alien it is still very much an entertaining one that does enough good to earn its place among the ranks of a series that seems to be more well regarded out of nostalgia and a couple strong entries than a consistent quality in the films overall.
