Predictable: Not one of the best: wasted money....

As a film, this one might be better than Prometheus, but that's not saying much. If you happen to like the film, though, I do recommend this Blu-Ray if for no other reason than I'm a bonus material junkie and this includes an assortment of bonus material, ranging from a nicely done "in-universe" commercial for Walter to several deleted/expanded scenes and other material that flesh out the story of Alien: Covenant, not to mention a solid making-of documentary and a commentary track with Ridley Scott that... well, that I haven't listened to yet (because Scott seems way more into these Alien prequels than I am), but I'm sure it contains some interesting insights into the making of the film.

I loved this movie! It filled in so many gaps that Prometheus left out.

This is just one depressing, badly written movie. If you're looking for any kind of logic, or a hint of common sense, look for another movie. The characters do the dumbest things thru out the movie. Hey, I'm the military leader, and I see the android duplicate do something quite evil (or at least very suspicious), do I warn my outfit, do I shoot him, or try to capture him at least. Nope. I'll just follow him likes he asks me to and then put my head right where he asked me to. What?! A trap?! Who saw that coming?? How about anyone with a brain!!! What type of leader would not IMMEDIATELY warn his troops asap?? This is just one of many examples of the writers lacking a clue as to common sense or strategy. Not one hint hint of clever writing exists in this movie. They just wanted to move the story along, no matter how dumb or implausible the direction they took it was. Sitting thru this movie was just painful and irritating. If you like to see all the good guys get wiped out, mostly thru stupidity, and without a drop of hope, you're in for a treat. If you want to watch a move with a semblance of hope, and intelligent writing, get the original Alien. This movie just plain sucked. One of my least favorite movies of all time.

I know this movie isn't fully true 4k, and uses a 2k master at some parts of the movie, also that there is a lot of CGI, but don't let that distract you from the vivid colors and flashing HDR highlights. With a properly set up TV and sound system, this movie really pops out a pure cinematic experience.

Alien ccovenant is the best alien action pack movie this year in my opinion i am hoping for part 2. Thanks best buy

While this technically is an Alien movie, it's more of a prequel for Prometheus. I watched the special dvd for Prometheus and it was intended that this movie would answer a lot of the questions that fans have been asking for years. WHERE and how did the aliens get their start and evolution. It is not your normal "Alien" movie.

Love the steel book! Such great quality and a fantastic film to add to the franchise! 10/10 would be chestbursted again.

It is always great to purchase the blu ray disc that comes with a digital copy, that way you can add it to your collection. Great movie, I recommend watching with a decent or great home audio set up. Maybe consider making some purchases during the holidays?

Continuing the Prometheus storyline. Some good alien scenes

I'm not a huge fan of the Alien series itself, but this film was very entertaining. The picture quality is excellent, and the sound is very immersive.

Not counting the 2 Alien v Predator films, this is the 6th film in the Alien franchise and the second prequel (the first prequel being Prometheus). I'm not saying this is a bad film as I debated whether to give it 3 stars instead of only 2. It just has too many flaws. The two main problems that I have with the film are 1) the almost complete incompetence, and the widespread unprofessionalism, of the Covenant's crew (it's a mission sent out by a private corporation, but one would still expect the crew to be well-trained and able to handle problems without repeatedly freaking out or making hard to understand decisions), and 2) the lack of character development of the crew, which made it almost impossible to care what happens to them. Also, of the 6 films in the Alien franchise, this is really the only one where there never seemed to be any realistic hope that at least some of the humans would prevail. The film was capped off with an ending that was obvious for about its last 20 minutes. I would rank this the 5th best film in the Alien franchise ahead of only Alien 3.

It takes the Alien movies in a new and original direction. It's not another rehash of Alien or Aliens.

alien covenant is a little more fast pace, and more interesting than Prometheus, not to mention a little more violent, but still a great movie

Is it Alien or Aliens? Of course not! But the performance from Michael Fassbender makes this top 3 in the franchise. Definitely watch!

Great movie, looks gorgeous on Blu. Michael Fassbender steals the show! A lot of extras as well. Worth the 10 bucks!

Not the best in the Alien series, but a great scare thrill ride. It is a must own if you already have the others. :)

The blu ray steel book is well made. The movie itself does have plot holes, but overall it's really entertaining.

Great movie for the price. Keep you on edge when watching it. Great special effects.
