Not a bad movie but I excepted a lot more from the guy that brought these nightmares to life. Overall a fair movie get into the history of the alien folklore but felt like it could have been handled better. Guess I expected to much from Riddley Scott, but the visuals of the movie are great. Still worth adding to the collection.

I like Alien, Aliens, and then this one. Looking past the stupidity of space explorers doing things they shouldn’t do (no helmets on strange new planet, carry over from the same stupidity of the Prometheus crew?) it is definitely a step towards feeling like the prequel its intended to be. I love the visual feel of the movie.

Movies plot could have been better. Glad i got a follow up 2 prometheus.

A lot prefer the sequels to the Alien film rather than the prequels but I am in the camp of the latter. I love Prometheus and Covenant, as I feel it completes the expanding story of the Alien world better than the sequels (which are more concerned with Sigourney Weaver). Ridley Scott is the best at telling his story true compelling visuals and world building cinematography.

Best Aliens movie since Alien Resurrection and much more better than Prometheus with a excellent story line, good suspense,and action. yes this movie has it all alien takeover of human host's, plenty of gun play towards the Aliens, and plenty of Aliens attacking and killing humans.Overall I give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars.

MOVIE OK NOT WHAT I EXPECTED GREAT PRICE ON THIS STEELBOOK THOUGH!

This is a sequel to Prometheus, plain and simple. In order to fully understand this movie you need to first watch Prometheus. Then once you're thoroughly confused, read up on a summary of Prometheus that explains the immense amount of religious allegory that Prometheus tried to convey but completely failed at. Now that you understand the intended meaning, go watch this movie. Then be thoroughly disappointed that this one has none of the deep undertones of the first one and is full of morons. You'll be rooting for everyone to die by the end, and for the movie to implode on itself and blink out of existence.

I have been a big fan of this film franchise since the very first film (although I thought that the crossover films with Predator were both silly)! This sequel to PROMETHEUS is great! Great visuals, acting, and story, plus the scariest Alien creatures to date! Action packed and exciting from the first frame!

The 4K Transfer of this movie is absolutely stunning, there is a TON of depth to the images which really adds to the immersion, the detail is excellent. This movie would be worth buying on 4K just for the cinematography alone. I highly recommend picking this movie up in 4K, it is one of my new favorite demo films.

I read alot of reviews of the plot, etc. both positive and negative. Bottom line, if you're invested in the franchise, and dug Prometheus, you'll dig this prequel-sequel. Disc is well-done; picture is fantastic and extras are pretty solid too. If you're a Ridley fan, you'll dig his commentary as well. RECCOMENDED.

I prefer the originals. But this wasn’t bad. Just not my cup of tea.

This movie answers many of the questions Prometheus left but leaves itself open for the third movie. If you hated Prometheus this movie won't change your mind and its best not to waste your time. I feel like its structured well and I never felt bored during the movie. It was always interesting to me and kept me entertained and that's all i can ask of a movie. It looks great on 4k and the steelbook is really neat as well.

Without spoiling the connection between the movies, this story has a palpable link to what happened at the end of Prometheus, cleaver plot points and great Alien sequences with an amazing plot twist to link into more of the Alien universe! Recommended for Alien franchise lovers, anyone else who hasn't seen them might be a bit overwhelmed with the plot, not saying that would detract from the experience though.

I bought the wrong movie I wanted the original Alien movie

You ever ask where the Aliens came from? This movie will answer it. Excellent direction by the genies Ridley Scott, which he never fails in delivering a visual movie. If only the script was a lot better. I am not saying it is a bad script, but it should have been better. We find out what happened to Elizabeth Shaw and David from the last movie, "Prometheous". Ten years past from that movie and a new group of adventurers go into space to colonize a planet, only to be on a rescue mission receiving signal from another planet. Sounds familiar? Special effects are great, as of the action. If only the script would have dealt with the characters more, instead of killer them off too early in the movie. Still worth seeing. It does answer quite a number of questions we all been asking since the original "Alien" movie. Which is considered still the best out of all alien movies.

If you've never watched Prometheus, this movie is a flop. If you watch Prometheus this is a great movie. Ridley Scott does a great job of bridging Prometheus to Alien. Visual effects are awesome the cinematography is great the movie turned out better than I was even expecting. If you watched all the alien movies including Prometheus and the Alien vs. predators this movie goes directly into your fan collection.

Not as good as prometheus. But it is OK. 4K looks awesome.

I like the Alien series. Covenant is entertaining but more about the androids then the aliens. I don't think this episode will satisfy the Alien enthusiast. Hopefully the next chapter will be the clincher.

The ending in Prometheus intended to set you up for a sequel, but the final sequences were somewhat campy for me (Charlize Theron couldn't just move to one side to avoid the rolling alien ship?). This time, the film leaves you wanting to know what happens next and wishing the next film comes sooner than later.
