I wanted to love this movie but found it only ok. I own all the others so had to have it for my collection but considering this is a prequel I'm not a huge fan that this changed a couple things from the original Alien movie. That all being said it's still well made just not my fav.

The hype for this movie seemed to be exciting. I will say I was disappointed on the how it all started. If you know the Alien movies of old, then you will see how this does not fit with the first movies. It is a prequel, so it made little sence. Other than that I REALLY ENJOYED IT!

Boy was this movie good! I am a huge fan of all the ALIEN movies and this movie fits in great. It starts to tell the viewer some of the history of the alien creature. It starts out where the previous movie (PROMETHEUS) left off. If you are a fan of the ALIEN movies you have to watch this one. I can't wait until the next one in the series comes out!

I enjoyed this movie. I do wish they would have continued the story of Dr. Shaw better instead of throwing that out the window. The picture quality is very good and HDR gives it that pop especially in the spaceship scenes.

Ridley Scott is a genius film director, and every ALIEN feature he has directed is never disappointing, but ALIEN COVENANT is like watching the first ALIEN for the first time.. There's tons of surprises, chilling suspense, terrifying horror, and you'll be on the edge-of-your-seat until the film ends. IT'S A MASTERPIECE!!!!! One can never tire of seeing another ALIEN sequel.

I've been an Alien fan for awhile. Some of the movies are amazing, some could definitely use a redo. This one was worth seeing in theaters, and I'm glad it's rated R. I just personally would have liked there to be more of the creatures and less idiocy of some of the characters.

Alien(s) has been around for awhile: fighting humans and predators. So this one does not fail the franchise and is a great continuation of the series. The action is just as good as Aliens for those of you that have followed the series. There are no dull moments. But it will leave you wanting more. That is for sure.

The latest installment in the _Alien_ franchise has somewhat lost its way. It lacks focus on any particular “hero” character (like Elizabeth Shaw in _Prometheus_, and Ripley in the original films), and, unlike _Prometheus_, this movie does not really offer the viewer any big ideas to think about. Michael Fassbender is great in his dual roles, and the special effects and atmosphere in the movie are awesome, but the story is sorely lacking. As for the home video transfer, the picture and the sound of the movie on blu ray are excellent. It also comes with a DVD and digital copy, although I haven’t watched them yet since generally only watch the blu rays. The rewatch value of this particular film overall, however, is honestly not that high for me.

The movie is great! Love the Alien series! Best Buy is really quick about shipping out their items, even in Covid times. The price is comparable to other stores. I’d rather support Best Buy than another department store, even if it’s a little more in cost. Great customer service and shipping is super fast!

Let's first talk about what is visible in the picture: the design of the steelbook itself: it is gorgeous and absolutely manages to encapsulte the aura of the film itself, which is hard to do with design. The movie itself is a beautiful render with fantastic sound and includes A TON of bonus features which this movie lover absolutely loves! This is truly a Best Buy!

I think the Alien Movies set the bar for which I judge other sci-fi movies. I really enjoy watching movies to see how the graphic and special effects have evolved. But sometimes the best scary moments are ones that make you jump out of your chair--catching you off guard.

As an Alien fan I am torn about this movie. I recommend it on the strengths of the Alien scenes but the recommendation carries some reservation in regards to the story and character development. Ultimately, I'm left wanting a better movie. Did I say the steelbook was nice?

Ok. The movie is not a masterpiece but its a good movie. The colonist are a bit dumb not following colonization protocols. NO HELMETS !!. Ridley Scott wide shots panels. I wish i had a 4K movie player, because even the Blu Ray looks gorgeous. Love the Xenomorph design.

Descent effort but kinda weak with plot holes. Very little about the architects and the evolution of the alien seems rushed and under explained. The main characters are not well cast with the exception of tennessee and they are written kinda dumb like most horror movies. Which is disappointing as most of the original films were cast and written exceptionally well.

Ridley Scott finally returns to direct the movie franchise that reinvented filmmaking into the science fiction genre. A good continuation of Prometheus, it further chronicles the android David and how he is responsible for the terrifying creatures we all know and love

I really did like this movie, but there was some parts that were confusing and somewhat unnecessary. I do like how it leads in to the next movie, which is Alien, but it seems that the technology is so different that they use on the ship. I dunno, maybe I need a rewatch.

Overall the movie was a good movie but if you have seen Prometheus or any other Alien movie its pretty predictable. Just note that this movie was shot in 2K and upscaled to 4K for the UHD Blu-Ray release so its not true 4K. Quality of the Blu-Ray was solid overall.

The sound and visuals are fantastic. Revisiting Prometheus is nostalgic and exciting. The story may stumble here and there, but the action is what you'd expect from Ridley Scott directed Alien flick. Worth a watch.

This film is an excellent extension of it's predecessor Prometheus. While there are some ways that the canny viewer may predict portions of what will occur, the denouement will spark discussions among aficionados for some time to come. You will want to spend the day watching the entire franchise, over again. Excellent storytelling with strong characters.
