Alien Covenant looks and sounds great in 4K, and the standard BD disc looks great as well. Fair amount of bonus features, and it's always good to get a director's commentary. As for the movie, it plays a lot more like Prometheus than one of the earlier Alien films.

If you liked Prometheus, this doesn't disappoint. Moves a bit slow in the beginning and then turns into a classic ALIEN movie. Wish that they did not focus so much on David through this sequel, but I cannot wait to see what they do next! The 4k quality is amazing.

There's a big build up for the action and then suddenly it comes to a halt. The "slow" section in the middle is filled with less than thrilling dialogue and takes itself way too seriously. Also we can travel light years in space but still have bulky go pros. Got it.

Movie is good, that's why I bought this 4k blu ray. But the player makes these very loud noises when playing this disc. Took the disc out, cleaned it, the usual stuff but it keeps making noises. And it makes no noises with other disks

The problem with filming another prequel is that it creates questions about the other movies in the series. What you thought bcc before doesn't always apply in this movie. The movie is entertaining, but I'm not sure that it's a movie that I would rewatch many times.

I like riddley scotts newer takes on his iconic work of the 70s/80s. I must impress like star wars, new takes on old work is what I am interested in. I dont like rehashing the same film over and over to the point there are 10 films or more that are next to near identical.

Price of the Blu-ray is great ($9.99). Graphics are really good. Storyline is pretty good. I’d really like to see more of those they call “creator.” Hopefully there will be more prequels or spinoffs to follow.

I like the movie because I like the movies Alien but I did not like the ending were the bad out did the Good. Davie was to evil to be a computer made man that smart. I believe there will be another Alien move coming up next. which will be the same as Alien 1 & 2.

We purchased the Samsung 75" Class LED - 8 Series - 2160p - Smart 4K UHD TV with HDR and it is AWESOME! The quality of the picture is unbelievable. We are so happy with our recent purchase. The color and clarity of the picture are excellent. We feel like we have our very own theater in our living now.

A sequel to the movie Prometheus that seemingly everyone on the internet hates. I thought both that movie and this one has some strong points and is entertaining to watch, but Im still trying to figure out how it really ties in to the original Alien franchise.

While a great movie, Covenant still suffers from some of the problems that affected Prometheus, but also added even more confusion and questions. Despite all that, it is well worth purchasing for the extras and continuing the chronology of the Alien Universe.

I felt this one was trying to fill up some of the gaps left behind by the Prometheus movie. It is definitely building the bridge to the original Alien film. It was still pretty interesting with stunning visuals and impressive sound quality.

Alien Covenant doesn't function fully as an Alien prequel or Prometheus sequel. The many great questions that arose from Prometheus remain largely unanswered through this film. The vast majority of its characters are underdeveloped and flat. The film is visually striking with beautiful contrasts of pitch black and bright whites. The overall aesthetic of the film is brilliant and there are a number of scenes that border on capturing the fear once generated by xenomorphs of old. Save for one predictable twist at the end, the film's narrative is a bit flat and underwhelming. A must own for Alien diehards. An easy rental or stream for those with a more casual interest. The steel book itself is excellent.

Ridley Scott has the Alien franchise back on track. The film relates well to the prequel Prometheus and sets-up future films. The 4K presentation is spectacular despite the bluish darker tones to the movie. Just the right amount of tension and introduction to the Xenomorph. Still some unanswered questions here and there, but still understandable.

While I loved Prometheus, This was even better. Aliens, cool, slow simmering story. And if this is definitely the movie to test your 4k darks and blacks. Every other movie shows off 4k’s brightness and color, but this one is the perfect yin to the yang.

So, let me begin this by saying that I am not an alien fan. Prometheus was by far my favorite of the series, but covenant is my second favorite. I love Michael Fassbender in this. I do, however, wish it had explained more about the architects' culture.

.... you are a fan anyway. It is a good Alien monster movie and that is it. This will not change the minds of the politically anger masses, nor will it give you the hokey motivation to do "...???..."; this will simply let you escape and enjoy Aliens.

This ranks as one of the best along with the original Alien movie. This movie may be the beginning of a new set of alien movies now that we were introduced to the engineers and the reason they created the Alien in the first place. Creatively it ends almost exactly like the first one and I expect we will be hearing about our next helping soon.

It's not my aliens with kicking butt and taking names Sigourney so it's not a 5 star. If you haven't seen those though I think you will enjoy this one a lot. Still it's not a bad movie but it did have a few parts I thought it could have done without..

Even after lowering the expectation bar dramatically after the tremendous debacle that was Prometheus, this sequel still managed to disappoint. They totally destroyed any interest by dropping the Elizabeth Shaw character from the story and instead totally focussing on the completely boring David android. Not to mention that it continued to even further to underwhelm the viewer with how ridiculously flawed the "godlike" Engineers are. So basically, anything that was remotely interesting from Prometheus was ignored -- not to mention the entirety of the Alien franchise. On the plus side, the production quality was quite good.
