Mediocre movie. What a crime. Ridley, what happened? Prometheus was hot garbage except for the beautiful cinematography and Fassbenders performance. But Covenant commited the far worse crime of mediocrity. One highlight was the score. Really dug that. I liked that we got to see a xeno fighting people on open ground, that was cool. Fassbender as david was once again pretty compelling, yet his turn as the nearly identical android walter was awful. The rest of the characters are annoying and forgettable (except for mcbride, he's rad). I'm a sucker for these movies though and I'd still recommend it if you are a fan of the series, but it's getting difficult.

Die hards of the franchise knock this movie a bit, but there a couple of twists that I didn't expect or didn't realize till just before they were about to happen, which is really hard to accomplish with a series that has developed a number of expected tropes. I'm excited to see the next entry! Home version looks great!

Love this movie and the 4K is great. Would give it 5 stars if it came with a director's commentary and more bonus features. If those things are not important to you, this movie is perfect for all Alien fans! Just don't expect answers!!

One of my most favorite and time honored horror movie classics. Love watching them every few years. Now with the new prequals it gives move in-depth history and insight as to how and were the Aliens came from, how they advance and get smarter. Again worth watching all in a beng weekend type horror event...

Always was a fan of alien. This film I can watch over and over. The 4k release was clean! best buy delivered 1 day early! i was very pleased with their service and with my purchase

This is the sequel to Prometheus in 3D and a prequel for the very first film Alien in the series and it's in 3D in theaters but it needs to come out in 3D to own and I just do recommend this movie to Your collection, but own each and every single one of the Alien's movies and the Predator's movies as well grab it !

This alien movie is a great movie that does a good job of filling in the gap between the Prometheus movie and the first Alien movie. Good movie with lots of suspense, action, and some horror with good twists in the story line.

Alien Covenant feels like the original Alien, combined with Prometheus. It's a beautiful film, and it's raises more questions than answers as far as it's status as a prequel to the original Alien films, but it's still entertaining.

Original director of Alien at it again with this follow up to Prometheus. Could of dwelled more on the alien civilization viewed in Prometheus but a good continuation of the story into the Alien franchise of how things came to be.

I'll admit that Prometheus was not to my liking but Covenant was. Of course I first saw the original Alien when it first came out and have owned every iteration of this series since it was first offered on VHS. I know, I'm old. LOL Anyway I liked this movie a lot and can't wait until the next one comes out.

The newest installment in the alien franchise continues to deliver the aliens and action that we have come to expect from the franchise. The blu-ray promises to answer our questions from covenant, but it'll leave you with more!

The movie is enjoyable but not as intense as the original Alien movies. You need to watch this movie if you want to learn about the origin and history of the Alien creature but I wish they had made the movie with more suspense...

Went to see this with high hopes of Ridley Scott redeeming himself from the last chapter of this series, and came away thinking, meh. Not bad but far from Alien or Aliens. It is so close, but delivers a bunch of forgettable characters and no real reason for why the “villain” is doing what he’s doing. Sure “science” and wanting to create mixed with...revenge? Because he’s made to be less than humans...right. Just lame reasons. Still, once the creature arrives it’s menacing and there are cool moments. Trouble is I didn’t care who was in danger. Whatever. Rating should be 2 and a half but I had to round up I guess.

Another alien prequel that I had to own. I do like Prometheus better, but this had to come home for the collection. Looks beautiful in 4k!

Although this movie got a lot of mixed reviews, mostly negative, I can say I really enjoyed it. Not for everyone and the fans of the franchise don't like how the story went but I like it and appreciate the work that went into it.

A lot of folks were conflicted over this movie, pretty much down the same lines as those who liked/hated PROMETHEUS. I thought it was a fun, rousing adventure. But the real star here is the gorgeous UHD transfer - sharp, detailed with inky blacks and great shadowing. Worth using to show off your collection!

Not the best aliens movie but 4k really shows off the Aliens and makes this movie visually a great watch. I wouldnt start with this movie if you are new to Aliens even if chronologically its the earliest.

I'll be brief. I love the fact that pretty much Best Buy sells the lion's share of newly released movies. Sometimes pricey... Sometimes not. This particular one was moderate. The movie: while NOT Michael Fassbender's greatest work, was VERY watchable, but felt kinda dialed in. STRICTLY by the numbers. Nothing TOO eventful, nothing TOTALLY mediocre. But, that's probably the problem: Aliens hasn't REALLY seen an event since the queen ripped Bishop in two!!! (remember THAT scene?!?!??) Anyhoo... A great addition to your library of blu rays, but nothing spectacular. A good buy, but try to get some money off, if possible.

Enjoyed Alien Covenant even more during my second viewing, especially with special features and extended scenes. A good follow up to Prometheus and back story to set up the Alien series. Glad to add this to my video library.
