The movie is largely uninspired, wretched fan service, but the 4K disc looks and sounds great, and the Ridley Scott commentary is terrific.

I really have loved anything the series puts out. But i feel like sometimes reaching for an original story is better than an almost recap of the previous. But i will keep on backing the movies so they will keep making them.

This was a good movie. Not as gruesome as prior movies. Like the way it leads up to prometheus movie. Great change of Davids towards the end. As we all know there has to be another movie to come out cant leave us hanging.

Not sure why this movie did not perform better. I loved how much more of the Alien storyline you got with this chapter. The visuals on the 4k are absolutely stunning.

This is a great sci-fi/thriller movie. Only gave it 4 stars simply because it's not Oscar Best Picture material. Only those get 5 stars from me. Make sure to watch Prometheus, which is the prequel to this movie.

I'm biased. I grew on on the Alien films. Love the first three, yes three. The fourth, not so much. While I don't count them as part of the series, and think they're both pretty awful, I can enjoy the AVP films. Prometheus was supposed to be something special. An Alien prequel that told of the origins if the species and the Space Jockies that brought them to planet LV-426. What we got was an interesting mess. Something great to look at that asked some interesting questions but did little to appeal to Alien fans. Covenant was supposed to mend that. Follow up on what worked with Prometheus and tie it firmly into the Alien world and have Xenomorphs in it. Here may be, if not his worst, one of Ridley Scott's worst films. Ever. It's still great to look at but what a bad movie. Without getting into spoilers, the Xenomorph is barely in it and really isn't the antagonist. More of a featured extra. Distilling this movie down, I'd be hard pressed to call it more than a pretentious slasher from a former master of the craft. I bought this as I'm a completionist, not because I enjoyed it in the theater. The 4k looks very nice. That's about the best I can say for it.

The movie itself is not badly thought out but the acting performance could have done better, also if you did not watch the previous movie you will be slightly lost as to what happens in the plot later on

LOVE the steelbook case! Very collectible and the movie was awesome! Gave so much more insight into the Aliens creation and morphing.

This movie was all too predictable. Where Prometheus gave us some answers to the creation of the xenomorphs, this movie takes it another step but in a bad way. I was very disappointed in the direction this movie went.

I had high hopes for Alien Covenant, as I was one of few people that actually enjoyed the world building that was done in Prometheus. Having said that, the decisions made by almost every single character in this movie is absolutely shocking. I get that its a sci-fi movie, but at least give the characters some reasonable choices to make. They basically all deserved what happened to them. The action was decent, but just couldn't get past the decisions made. The follow-up for Prometheus should have been a more direct sequel including Noomi Rapace reprising her role as Shaw. Steelbook does look quite nice on a higher note.

Ridley Scott sure knows how to scare us with the Alien franchise. He also makes you think about who or what created these life forms and possibly other lifeforms in our universe. Of course, parts of the movie are a little predictable. Don't trust synthetics! =P Movie looks great on a 4K OLED tv!

If you find yourself not liking Prometheus as much as some did, this movie will be more your speed. This film feels like a true Alien movie, and is shot perfectly by Ridley Scott.

Alien Covenant is a thrilling new chapter in the popular Alien movie series & very entertaining. It takes place after the movie Prometheus but before the original Alien. Horror & sci-fi fans will not be disappointed !

It was a good movie. BB needs to work on updating their website with what digital copy comes with it. I used iTunes and would like to know before I I buy.

Not a bad movie at all, has gotten somewhat of a bad rap from the interwebs. I enjoyed the film and would watch it again as it does fit nicely into the Alien franchise collection and I will watch it again sometime.

Good movie in the franchise. Aliens/Alien will probably always be my favorite, but I like all the films in general. I like movies that feed into a universe and you can learn new things about characters/creatures.

i think i will have to see it again to try to catch stuff i know i missed understanding. and rewatch the first "prometheus" since i forget stuff. great fx , cast, just gotta go for the ride it takes you on

This is a good follow-on to Prometheus. However, I do wish that they had done another movie chronicling Dr. Shaw's adventures. Also, I don't like another plot device in the movie, but posting it would be a spoiler.

Really enjoyed this movie. Bought the movie then watched Prometheus and Covenant on separate days. Good start to a reimagining of the franchise. Looking forward to sequels.
