DON'T get fooled by the name! This is NOT quality!

Yeah, anything but. This is Alienware in name only as I've learned after returning it! They make a big deal about this new cooling system, but I'm telling you firsthand it doesn't do CRAP! 105c thermal throttling playing the new Resident Evil (which ironically you get for free for purchasing a 50 series laptop). If you want a gaming laptop, trust me, this is NOT the one!

Bad Start

The manufacture could send me a new one or I could exchange it, but I choose to return it. I don't want a product that has problems from the start.

HOT…. Not in a good way.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop… BUT there is now way to keep the heat down… I don’t think the laptop is the issue though, I think putting a desktop CPU in a laptop with vetting that you can keep it cool is the issue. This thing would get over 200 degrees and it’s brand new… what happens with a little bit of age…. Would have been perfect with an ULTRA 7.

Overpriced

Over priced junk is what it is. You’d think having it cost over $2000 after taxes itd hace a premium feel to it. Nope keyboard felt cheep and so did the trackpad. Quickly returned for HP Omen

A learning experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A new computer is always a traumatic experience, but this one is a dramatic step up from my old device. Most notable difference is quicker performance because of increased RAM. One downside is the included software tries really hard to make me use their programs rather than what I want. Getting passwords squared away is always a hassle to figure out, requiring patience. Battery life not quite what I expected, and bottom of computer is hotter than a 2-dollar pistol. Maybe I will make some kind of stand for better cooling?
