Great PC (NOT JET ENGINE) Very quiet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Gaming PC! Only thing i upgraded thus far was the HDD space. super convenient considering Alienware gives you 2 extra HDD slots. You only need to Purchase HDD and SATA cable and you're good to go! Very High quality computer and the Fan speed is not as bad as everyone says it is. Super quiet PC and well worth the money. Next upgrade is the RAM which is upgradeable to 64GB

Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this thing a while before from a different seller, but for those of you buying this from best buy, here's my review. To be frank, if you want a system under 2000 for yourself, this is the one you want.

LOUD AND NOISY DUE TO CASE DESIGN FLOW AND FANS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This one is the worst designed computer I have ever owned. Even my own build is better. The case they put around this is complete garbage. It rattles when you switch on the computer. The fans are super noisy. For Dell one has to wonder, why not spend $50 more to put quiet fans in the case and change the case design to something that is not prone to rattles. I would spend happily more money if they would change the design. My own attempts to rectify this is impossible I tried for hours and put even tape on the case to remove the rattling to no success. You find this actually documented and verified on the internet by several others, but they say they always have headphones on so they do not hear it. That's a bogus argument. I should have done more research on this before I bought it. A computer these days needs to be quiet. For this reason, I build my own computer, spend less money, making it more powerful and its super quiet. Dell should be ashamed to provide such a machine to its customers! Summary: This computer has design flaws that can not be fixed. Dell must change the design!

Posted .Expert,
Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about the issues that you've had with your Alienware Desktop so far. We'd recommend choosing a thermal profile in the Alienware Command Center that matches your usage. This should help with the overheating that you're experiencing that causes the fans to run high.
You can also check to see if there are any updates to your system's BIOS: https://dell.to/2SasW9V. An out-of-date BIOS can cause loud fan noises by having an outdated temperature table for the system. Refer to update BIOS and follow the instructions to update the BIOS on your computer.
