I have a PC with a 10th gen i7 and an MSI 3070. That PC outperforms this Alienware by a LOT. It out benchmarks it in TimeSpy and Cinebench. In game, I got about half the FPS performance on the R12 as I do on my 3070 machine. That makes ZERO sense. Only conclusion is this is a piece. I'm assuming mine was maybe defective? Surely they aren't all this bad.

Yes, it's pricey if you were trying to piece together this from cheaper parts. However, this is well built and checks all the boxes. The system runs quite cool under load, and with a small modification, you can even stay cool while mining. There is a premium for the Alienware name, but you are getting things like resell value, which you can't attach to something you build yourself.
