Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just returned awful Alienware Aurora 12 with air cooling: CPU temperature reaches 99 C under load due to extremely bad cooling design. 3DMark score is very low for the configuration due to CPU throttling. I am shocked this product was actually allowed in the market. Please do not tell me about BIOS or how to place the product to allow more air in: the only way to solve the cooling issue is to replace air cooling with liquid one, that Dell will be happy to do for you for hefty extra fee + mod the case to allow more air. Youtube is full of such advice. Interestingly enough, there does not seem to be the way to leave product review at Dell website, and the rating for this model is respectable 4.2 stars with many 5-star ratings on the top, misleading potential buyers. There is definitely a foul play, such a shame for the company. It goes without saying this is my first and last Alienware purchase.

Dell installed Cheap Motherboards on these expensive systems, and they are all failing after a few months even weeks. When you call Dell for support, they say they don't have parts and they offer you "REFURBISHED" parts, So they basically mean to give you a refurbished computer, and you paid top dollars for a brand new system.
