Good price for a gaming computer

I was really excited that starfield was coming out and I wanted a new PC that could handle it at high settings (my children have taken over my other PCs). It handles everything with ease

This box boots like it’s an iPad. Halo infinite runs like butter, with the 16 GB of memory Ark Survival ascended runs dog slow on epic. I’m going to add another 16 GB to see what happens. Overall box is quality and the heat management seems to be working fine.

Since this was my first pc, it was too daunting to build my own so I purchased a prebuilt. What I didn’t know was that key components in prebuilts, though you’d think for the price that they’ll be at least meeting the standard, was horrible. The desktop constantly rebooted, shuting down (downloading 1 game with a pc running an i7 AND a rtx 3080 which baffled me), and the constant updates from Alienware command center was a horrible experience trying pc gaming. Whether it was the layout of the components or the choice of subpar hardware, Alienware and I’d say any company that sells pre builds should be avoided. When gaming, oddly it was a different experience. Running a 4k 144hz monitor the desktop was able to run call of duty and other AAA games at a stable 90-110hz at 4k resolution! I believe it may be the cpu and the layout that is the issue since there were no shut downs or issues while playing on the pc. The problem is the time and issues just to play the games was downright frustrating. Maybe I got a bad unit so if you’re looking for a prebuilt pc I’d recommend researching more before buying one. This isnt to say Alienware is not good which many people told me. The performance is top notch and i believe my unit was just unlucky.

I bought it for my son as a Christmas gift while on sale. He loves it, and it worked great right out of the box. Quick start up and smooth with multi-tasking. Quiet even while running demanding games and high res video streaming. Solid feel and quality components.

Then you waste days researching why and having to run ms config and essentially reprogram and go back to older installations trying to figure out what’s wrong and how to get a simple software you use daily to function. Putting it back in the box and retuning
