BIGGEST MISTAKE. Right out of the box, several issues on which I had to contact tech support, incompatibility and bios upgrade issues that were unresolved due to Dell's "we don't have an update yet, check back later". Then, around 3-4 months after purchase, the CPU started running hot and all fans on all the time, even for browsing. Gaming extremely loud. Checked it thoroughly, sensors saying "all good", but something not right. Tech support unable to do anything because not broken. Noise, errors, and now finally the system threw the common CPU Fan Detect failure code (per Dell and Reddit forums). Part of course is out of stock at Dell, and PC out of warranty, so tough luck. Found on Ebay, expensive, but no other option as PC shuts down after 2 min. Installed, same issue, now appears that motherbord/sensors and CPU are faulty, and more time, money and parts requred. This is the WORST experience and appalled that Dell would sell such garbage. The utilization on the R15 is not very user-friendly, and many options don't work, such as "sleep" function. I will NEVER purchase Dell products again and steer everyone I know away from them. $2700 down the drain after a little over 2 years. My Asus gaming computers lasted 7 years each without breaking down, purchased new one because the previous was just old and outdated, but, never had 1 problem. This Dell issue is a known problem with the Aurora R15 I find out, and it is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Dell/Alienware folks- shame on you.

Plays games 120fps + @. 4k. I can’t see anything this machine can’t handle I have three at it. You can put any DDR five ram into this computer. When I first looked at reviews, everyone made it seem like you had to use different Ran, but that’s only if you want to overclock for some reason it doesn’t overclock

The case is made of so much plastic in such a small design the system cant keep itself cool. It looks nice and different, but the as a whole the system is overpriced. Maybe on sale, it MIGHT be a better deal, and the deal rtx 4080 perfers well, but i would stay away and stay witht the rtx 3000 series.

Here are the steps to help resolve your heating issue:
1. Make sure the system is in a well-ventilated area.
2. Use laptops on flat surfaces to improve airflow. Hard table tops are recommended and avoid using any type of cloth or any other soft material under the laptop.
3. For desktop systems make sure there is enough clearance around the system to allow the air to flow. If the system is in an enclosure try to move it to a more ventilated area for testing.
4. Check that the air vents are clean and that nothing is obstructing them.
5. Update your system BIOS to the latest available on the Dell Support Site.
6. You can reset your BIOS settings to undo any changes that could be causing the system to overheat.
7. Disable NVIDIA G SYNC and run a stress test using SupportAssist.
8. Navigate to the Thermal Controls in the Alienware Command Center, which is found under the Fusion tab. There you can adjust the thermal control of system fans and change the status of active venting. The initial one I purchased would give me the blue screen of death everytime it went to sleep. There was nothign I could do to save that. I returned it, got another one and "So far So good." This is no doubt a powerful product and beautiful. Combined with the Odessy; it is a powerhouse

Side-by-side with ordering new from Dell, this deal was too hard to pass up. I've already added 64GB of Corsair Vengeance 5200 DDR5 memory and a 2TB storage spin drive. Fly DCS with this rig is a breeze...
