Bought for a gaming computer. Very easy setup and son loves it. Very easy to upgrade and very quite.

I bought this after my last Alienware died after a life span of about 3.5 years. It was time to upgrade, so I was attracted to this high-end gaming PC with the 1080 GTX GPU. I was also able to bundle it with the Oculus Rift in-store for a discount, so I got both for a steal in my opinion. The only complaint I have is that it is air-cooled, so the fans can be VERY loud if you're doing some extreme processing or gaming.

Product was recommended to me by best buy rep. Very pleased with its performance, features, upgradability, and futurization. It can freeze at times when using multiple game mods that require high performance but it just may be that some mods are not 100% compatible, are buggy or haven't been cleaned. Maintaining ultra quality and 60 fps doesn't seem to be a problem so far. Everything has a limit though.

I will start this review off by saying this is the second Alienware - Aurora R5 Desktop that I purchased. The first one was plagued with problems, constantly crashing and giving error messages right from day one. I contacted Best Buy customer service and was scheduled to bring my system back to the store for an exchange or refund. After arriving to speak with someone from the geek squad I only spent a total of 20 minutes in the store and was given a new system in exchange for the one that was not working properly. After arriving home and setting up the new system I was very happy that it was working as I would expect a high-end gaming system to. I am very pleased with the customer service at Best Buy and geek squad.

Really quick and easy setup. Very quiet. Don't know what some of the other reviews are talking about when talking about fan noise. This thing goes from off to usable mouse in about 22 seconds which makes this the most convenient windows based computer that I have ever owned. For me it is totally worth the price paid and I know I wont need to upgrade for many years to come.

Bought this PC to use mainly with my Oculus Rift and almost overnight found myself playing all my gaming titles on it. It's ready to go right out of the box and with it's top of the line graphics card, I'm playing with ultra settings with nearly every game. Loving this computer.

The best thing about this computer is the graphics also the cpu make everything run smoothly.Also i would want their to be a water cooler because if you have it on a long period of time the computer restarts.

Extremely happy with machine. No trouble with loud fans or any other previously reported problems. Mine works great. I am disappointed with the wired mouse. Just a standard mouse, not a gaming mouse for a gaming machine. Pretty much the same with the keyboard.

I got this system bundle with the Oculus Rift. It is a fast powerful machine. I runs great and handles playing VR games without issue. My only comment would be that I wished it had a better cooling system. My son will be playing on this thing for hours at a time.

It's a good feeling to know u have something that'll really push thru the VR stuff no problems. Don't hook up a monster HDMI to it though, not compatible. But good piece of tech

Bought this for my son when his PC aged to the point it wasn't going to suit his needs any longer. No complaints from him at all so far so I believe it was a solid gaming PC even if DELL bought their company.

Excellent gaming system. Perfectly matched for Occulus. Easy to set up, very fast, plenty of room. Worth every penny. Alienware did an excellent job in putting this system together. Graphics are awesome.

I bought this computer nearly a month ago and it has crashed multiple times. On the first day I got it, even before I installed any software, it has already crashed. I didn't think much of it then but it continued to happen. Even when I'm doing a simple task like browsing the Internet, it would randomly hang for a minute and restart itself. I reached out to the Dell Support Team regarding this issue and the employee who helped me was helpful but he was very hard to understand (extremely thick accent). I had to keep on asking to repeat his instructions. After updating the BIOS and drivers, the computer didn't crash for a couple days until today. I went ahead and reached out to the Dell Support Team and I am waiting for their response. I've always bought an Asus product but I took a risk and bought an Alienware (Dell) product. Unfortunately, I am starting to regret that decision. Computer is very fast as it runs on i7 and GTX 1080 but these things are useless if the computer continues to shut off on me randomly. I will definitely return this product soon if it doesn't get resolved. If you are looking for a gaming computer, I highly recommend staying away from this particular computer. Go with an Asus instead.

This baby does everything I throw at it. Runs everything with no issues. Only thing I've done to it is up the memory. Doubt I'll ever have to do much more besides storage.

This is a good pc for gaming, and everyday use. Although someone could build a more advanced and custom PC for just a little more money.

By far the best computer I have owned hands down! It is lighting quick and the ability to customize my light takes it over the top.

bought as gift for family member...unbelievable in all aspects...it's the 1080 card that makes it...a dream machine...

I wanted a good desktop for work but also one that had a good enough graphics card for occasional games. It is great!
