I went with this desktop, this machine was constantly locking up right off the bat. After several reinstalls and driver hunts I got it to somewhat of a working state - my monitor would constantly flicker and I changed both the cable and the monitor itself and the same thing was occuring after 30 minutes of use. When would fire up a game I would get temps of 85+ on the 1070gtx and it would sound like an aircraft was taking off. Five minute boots times were standard... RETURNED.

We're sorry to hear about the experience that you had recently with your new Alienware Desktop. If the future we would definitely recommend that you limit the number of programs that launch at startup if it is booting too slow for you.
We'd also recommend updating the BIOS and drivers on your computer in order to help with the screen flickering and fan noise.

Great PC as long as you don't care to upgrade.

Dell decided to make a separate Aurora R8 just to use the Intel 9th Gen and exclude anyone who purchased the R7 from upgrading. Almost every other brand/motherboard got an update to upgrade to 9th Gen in their 8th Gen Intel desktops.
