Ok, things happen. Get in touch with Dell tech support, they decide I need a new drive. Fine. Approximately 1 week later someone is sent to my house to put in a new drive and reinstall windows with a recovery USB drive tech support sent. Here's where I'm extremely angry! A one month old machine and they sent a REFURBISHED drive as my replacement. Not new, refurbished! This was a $1700 machine. This is unacceptable. Also, after windows had been reinstalled, it feels as though not everything is there as it came out of the factory. The tech that was sent knew his stuff, but had no idea about the specifics of an Alienware machine. There were other Alienware utilities that did not appear to make it back, at least not that I can find so far. If I could box this up and take it back, I would. I was going to purchase the Alienware 34" monitor next. Maybe I've been lucky as I've never had to use the Dell warranty in the past. But if this is what Dell does to support their product, I will never buy another Dell product again and I've been purchasing Dell products for years.
