Well the new 6 core i7 is very powerful, paired with 16gb of ddr4 ram it flies through daily tasks with ease. Though no SSD what this does have is Intel Optane memory and let me tell you, this thing boots up close to my SSD equipped desktop plus having 2TB of storage means you get both speed and storage. As this is an Alienware then you know it's for gaming and the Nvidia GTX 1080 does not disappoint. Providing 4k gaming through my 55" OLED LG TV with ease. Most games run at medium to high at 4k, at 1080 and 1440 you can expect we'll over 120 fps in Fortnite with Epic settings. Same with PUBG, you get a high frame count while on ultra. It's a joy to game on. Design is nice, typical Alienware and has nice RGB lighting on both the case sides and the power button, you can also turns these off if you prefer. It's super easy to access and everything is there easy to upgrade. You also hear very little noise from the system thanks to awesome cooling. If you're looking for a gaming desktop with the latest 6 core 8th gen i7 with one of the most powerful GPU's on the market then this is it. Go for it, you won't regret it!

No gaming use was anticipated. So far the machine is working mostly as expected. There are a few times when it did slow down or come to a halt, which was somewhat surprising, considering the stats.

If you experience problems with your computer freezing we'd recommend that you try the following:
1. Run a Computer Diagnostic. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Preboot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics. For information on how to run Diagnostics, and to determine the issue, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2iaiujA.
2. Check Safe Mode for Symptoms. To boot into safe mode, please follow the instructions below:
a) Start the computer.
b) Tap 'F8' on the keyboard immediately and every one second until the Dell logo screen disappears. From there you will see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen. (If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.)
c) Select Safe mode with Networking and press Enter.
d) Log on as the administrator or as a user with administrative access.
e) Open applications and test the computer in safe mode. If the symptoms exist in safe mode, please continue the troubleshooting steps in this article. If the symptoms do not exist in safe mode, the issue is likely related to a driver or software and you may wish to complete steps 6 to see if you are able to resolve the lockups or freezing.
6. Check for Malware. Malware (Virus, Spyware, etc.) can definitely cause a Windows system to lock up or appear to hang. To check for malware on your system and to ensure that your computer is up to date on security software, visit Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2wWP1zI.
