High refresh rate gaming monitors seem to be commonplace nowadays with a variety of companies putting out similar products. However, Alienware has continued to put out superior monitors to keep their place at the top of the hill. With the latest iteration here, they have definitely improved on multiple facets. First, right out of the box, the actual cosmetics of the monitor reflect Alienware’s iconic design, giving it that familiar premium look and feel. The stand is sleek, minimalist, and easy to assemble. I will note from an aesthetic standpoint I really like the less geometric look they have gone with here. The stand offers full ergonomic adjustability, allowing you to tilt, swivel, pivot, and raise or lower the display height with ease. This ensures you can fine-tune the monitor to your preference. A small, but highly convenient feature is the integrated, retractable headset hanger, which pops out from the side. Cable management was also really well thought out as it is simple with the built-in stand pass-through. The monitor is built with the durability you expect from a premium brand, with a minimalist approach. Looking at the actual performance is where this monitor truly stands out. The most important facet is obviously speed, which is where this monitor shines. The 320Hz refresh rate is extremely fluid, providing silky smooth motion that blurs the line between what you see and what you react to. Along with the refresh rate, the 0.5ms response time means motion blur is virtually eliminated. This speed is extremely crisp both in fast-paced shooters and open-world games. The FHD (1080p) resolution is a huge selling point to reduce the load on your GPU, allowing you to easily push the framerates necessary to take full advantage of that high refresh rate. Along with the upgraded performance of the display is the more advanced synchronization and clarity. Naturally, they throw around terms like “FreeSync” and “G-Sync Compatible” here, but the tear-free gaming experience is top notch. Whether you are running an AMD or NVIDIA card, the variable refresh rate technology is seamlessly integrated. Instead of distracting screen tears or stutters, you get a perfectly synchronized frame. Now yes, the price is higher than a typical monitor, but the competitive edge it provides is definitely worth the cost. Overall, if you're looking for a competitive monitor that provides lightning-fast speed and a tear-free frame of view that will provide actual relevant performance when gaming then this is exactly what you are looking for. The integration of G-Sync/FreeSync is seamless along with the ease of the physical setup and the superior ergonomic flexibility. Alienware has definitely continued to remain at the top of the pack with gaming products here and leaves nothing further to be desired in a competitive display. For that reason, I would highly recommend this product.

The Dell Alienware AW2525HM monitor is a 24.5 inch gaming monitor. It features a 320 HZ, 5 MS refresh rate that is great for gaming and sports. There is G-Sync, Free-Sync and Adaptive Sync in a 1920 x 1080 Fast IPS panel. There are 2 HDMI ports, 3 USB ports (1 with charging) and 1 display port. The monitor supports HDR. Assembly was simple and quick. The stand tilts and adjusts vertically just under 4 1/2 inches. There are a couple of features on this monitor I haven't had before and really like. First there is a recessed arm that pops out of the left top corner of the monitor designed to hold your headphones keeping them handy at all times. The arm can be pushed back into the monitor when not in use. Second is the joystick. The joystick is used to scroll through the monitor settings and replaces those buttons that so many monitors have that are difficult to find and often impossible to read their function once found.This is a single switch that can scroll 4 directions and with a push select the chosen option. I love this! I have used this with my MacBook and PC laptops having Intel, Snapdragon and AMD Ryzen platforms. The monitor has performed well with all of them. I have streamed sports and played action games and noticed no stuttering or tearing, only seamless video. This monitor has great sharpness, brightness and contrast. Admittedly most of my usage is business oriented and geared towards having a larger screen than my laptops do. I find that the specs of gaming monitors are worth the upgrade for my uses even though gaming is only a small part of it. I love this monitor and find it to be of high quality as have all of my other Alienware products been.

This is hands-down a gorgeous monitor. At 25-inch diagonally, it’s a bit smaller than the 27-inchers I’ve been using, but that doesn’t detract from it at all. I happen to have an Alienware gaming computer, so it was quite appropriate to connect this monitor to it. Images are clear, sharp, and bright, and colors are vivid. With the 320 Hz refresh rate, clarity is maintained even during fast-motion events. Connectivity includes one DisplayPort and two HDMI inputs. Plus, in a throwback that I haven’t seen on a new monitor in a while, there are also two USB-3 ports, and connection between the monitor and computer is made by an included USB-3 cable. It’s convenient to have USB ports right there in front of you instead of having to reach down and find them on a computer which might be partly inside a cabinet. Also include are two HDMI cables, which is also somewhat unusual, in my experience. I usually have to provide a monitor cable separately. Control of the monitor’s settings is through a single joystick-like button on the bottom center of the monitor. I’m starting to see this more often on new monitors, and I don’t always like it because it seems that it’s too easy to push it the wrong way and change something or jump into a menu that I didn’t intend to. But I can deal with it, and I don’t change settings that often. Overall, I don’t consider this a detriment. If you want an excellent gaming monitor, and the 25-inch size is ok for you won’t go wrong with this monitor.
