The other one i got for retail. I understand that this monitor isnt all thay budget friendly but when i say you womt regret buying this i mean it. I swtiched for 60hz to 240hz and it felt like i was gilding thats how smooth the gameplay was. It looks nice, prefroms even better. The only thing i dont like about this monitor is the back where you connect your dp and powercord. Its really tight to put in the cables. Overall its amazing.

I love how beautiful my games look (I was previously playing on a Razer Blade 15; 2018 laptop). I also love how heavy this is, doesn't feel flimsy at all. Nice and sturdy.

I play lots of games & to me this is 1 of the best monitors I have had so far.

Even tried switching out the displayport and hdmi cable to a different one but problem still presist. Thought it was the graphic card bitbit wasnt, tried to pluged to my nintendo switch but problem still presist. May have gotten a defect monitor. Will be making a trip to get a exchange to see if there is a better outcome.

Thank you for your feedback and review. We apologize for the issues you have come across with your monitor. We have provided steps that can be used to run a Self-Test on the monitor to help diagnose the issue if needed in the future.
To run the monitor built-in self test (BIST):
1. Make sure that the monitor screen is clean (no dust particles on the surface of the screen).
2. Unplug the video cable(s) from the back of the Dell monitor and the PC. The Dell monitor should now enter self-test mode.
3. Press and hold Button 1 for 5 seconds. A gray screen should appear.
4. Carefully inspect the screen for abnormalities.
5. Press Button 1 on the front panel again. The color of the screen should now change to red.
6. Inspect the screen for any abnormalities.
7. Repeat Step 5 and Step 6 to inspect the screen in green, blue, black, white and text screens.
8. The test is complete when the white screen appears.
9. Press Button 1 to exit the built-in self test diagnostics.

Not what I had hoped for

The fact that it switched seamlessly between whatever source was providing the input was a nice change from swapping the hdmi cables out of the back of my old monitor. I owned this monitor for less then a week and the images from a game I was playing got burned into the screen. I ended up returning it and using my old monitor, I just bought a 3 in-1 out HDMI converter box for around $80 and it works just fine.

We returned it to the store and bought another one on August 16, 2021. After nearly 3 months of using, we found another black spot on the screen. Save your money. Don’t buy this. Too expensive but it breaks easily.

My favorite monitor ever

I bought another a year or two later. I saw this one on sale as an open box deal and snatched it up immediately. This has been my favorite monitor in over 20 years of PC gaming. Even my mouse cursor looks super smooth now. Games that really take advantage of it flat out feel unbelievable. The novelty has never really worn off, all these years later. I know most people are going 4K now, but a 240hz display is more important to me as I play a lot of competitive shooters and I 100% believe this has improved my game more than most of the stuff I buy. I'll stay here until 4K @240hz is more practical and less expensive in both the GPU required to run it and the monitor price itself.

Alienware 240hz monitor

I mainly bought it because it supported 240 Hz, and man did it deliver. I found that in more competitive style games like CS:GO, Valorant, and R6, it was a much smoother experience, and I felt that I was able to react faster to enemies. If you're looking for a good 240Hz monitor, I would definitely recommend it.
