    A Stunning Gaming Monitor

The Alienware AW2725D is a 27-inch gaming monitor that uses QD-OLED technology (an enhanced OLED screen with even better colors). It delivers stunning image quality and lightning-fast performance. It is an excellent choice for serious gamers who want premium visuals without paying 4K prices. The picture quality is beautiful, with OLED each pixel creates its own light providing near perfect blacks (unlike on regular monitors) and incredibly vibrant colors that fill the screen. The preferred resolution is 2560x1440 is perfect for gaming. The images are sharp and crisp but not so demanding that an expensive graphics card would be required. My gaming laptop with an NVIDIA graphics handled it just fine. This monitor is in a different league when it comes to gaming. The speedy refresh rate updates the screen 280 times per second, making motion silky smooth. At 0.03ms the response time practically instant. I notice no motion blur or ghosting, even during fast-action games. Whether I’m playing competitive first-person video games or racing cars, everything looks crystal clear. The design is sleek and sturdy with matte-black finish that looks sophisticated (looks a nice dark blue in the right light). The stand is compact, and sturdy and fully adjustable for height, tilt, and swivel. There are two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort. Plus, it features a USB hub for accessories (the USB hub can't charge laptops or accept video in). I can choose between two modes for HDR content (movies and games). (1) "True Black" for the most accurate colors, or (2) "Peak 1000" for extra-bright highlights that really pop in dark scenes. The only real negative with this monitor is its text clarity. It has nothing to do with the quality of Alienware products (which are outstanding). Instead, it has to do with OLED technology and how the screen pixels are arranged. I find that tiny text can show faint color fringing (hazy rainbow effect). As such I would not recommend buying this for working with text and documents. It's designed for higher-end gaming and web browsing. As with all OLED screens, there's a risk of "burn-in" if static images stay static on screen for too many of hours (i.e.m desktop icons). However, Alienware includes a 3-year warranty that covers burn-in, which should ease your mind. The monitor also runs special anti-burn-in techniques while operating (pixel shifting), and automatic screen maintenance when powered off. If you take care of this monitor, there’s no reason to ever experience burn-in. But all OLED screens will slowing lose color density and vibrance over time. Not unique to this monitor, that’s the price you pay for an OLED screen. It's up to you to decide whether it's worth it. The screen coating is semi-gloss which helps to display extremely vivid colors. But a semi-gloss screen sometimes reflects light sources, just avoid placing it opposite windows or lamps. Conclusion: The Alienware QD-OLED AW2725D is great gaming monitor at an affordable price. Five years ago, a monitor like this would have cost two or three times this amount. I prioritize performance and stunning visuals for my gaming monitor, for business (working on documents, etc.) I use a separate screen. Aside from text clarity, this is one of the best monitors I’ve used for gaming. It's built well, the screen is stunning, and it performs like a champ in games. If as a gamer you value motion clarity and image quality (and are willing to pay for them), then put this on your desk and start playing! If you are looking for dual use (gaming and work), I would advise against it. That's the gotcha. Text looks poor, jagged, blurry and I’d worrying about the long-term effect static text has on the screen itself. I am very pleased with it and will recommend it to friends.

This Amazing PC/Mac Gaming Monitor Has Taken Over

In terms of gaming monitors, everyone is looking for a competitive advantage. They want the fastest refresh possible leading to the smoothest image. They want no input lag which gives them the drop on other players. And they want all of that will an incredible image. With the Alienware QD-OLED QHD 280HZ Gaming Monitor, Alienware has hit all fronts. Out of the box, the set up is easy. It has everything you need to get set up. You get the monitor, monitor stand, and cables to be ready to go. Attaching the base is easy. There is base you need to assemble, but no tools are necessary. It only takes a couple of minutes. The monitor then just slips into place. There is some setup required. You will likely need to go through setting up your PC/Mac to have the right setting on the computer. The monitor is a 1440p with 2560x1440 resolution. The monitor itself has a bit set up. In all though, one can be running within a handful of minutes. As far as the performance is concerned, this has replaced all my other monitors as my PC gaming monitor. Games like FortNite, Rocket League, and Battlefield look amazing. The fluidity prevents any stuttering of the image. I am running frame rates that exceed the game’s own capability. And over time, I could have long gaming sessions without straining my eyes. One point I will say though is this is not a monitor for everyone. This monitor is powerful. IF you get it to plug up a PS5 to, it will just be overkill on the monitor’s part. The PS5 doesn’t have a graphics card that can really get the most of the monitor. The monitor will work fine with it. But to really get the benefits of such a power monitor, you likely want something with a much stronger graphics card and capabilities. I don’t want to push people off of this monitor though. This is the real deal. The Alienware QD-OLED QHD 280HZ Gaming Monitor will be a beast in any gaming environment. Quick response, incredible graphics, smooth-like-butter visuals, perfect color representations, and low strain on the eyes make this a perfect gaming monitor. This has replaced my other gaming monitor and is now the workhorse of my gaming sessions. I recommend it to all gamers.

Hello friends and welcome to my review of the new Alienware AW2725D 27 inch QD-OLED. That is a mouth-full so from now on I will call it just the monitor. First of all Alienware really needs to redo the packaging for this monitor. When it arrived I set it down on the floor and cut the tape on the box to open it, and it just fell open in both directions. The monitor flopped around as did the the stand, nothing was damaged. So I guess the packaging did it's job? Now, on to my review. After setting up the monitor and getting it synced with my other monitor. Right away I noticed the difference in the two displays. My other display is a 27 inch Samsung 4K and actually really nice. However, sitting next to the new alienware QD-OLED it starts to look old or almost a bit darker. If I am using both monitors for a static screen where both are white back grounds. I can see clearly that the white on the new alienware unit is brighter in all light conditions. Also strangely enough it does also appear to be smoother looking too. The display is so crisp that appears to me to basically look more realistic. This all new QD-OLED is also very clean looking when analyzing colors . I know that the folks over at Alienware are big gamers too so their attention to the color pallete shines in this new monitor. The next thing that really stood out to me is the speed of this screen. It becomes clear after just a few minutes of use that this monitor is on a new level. The smooth almost effortless ability of this screen to eat everything you throw at it is amazing. Clarity and detail rule the day on this monitor. I have been watching 4K content and the detail I can see is amazing. Real content that shows things such as grass, the grass looks so real that it seems as if you can feel it thru the screen. I am very impressed with the lack of any latency what so ever. I personally think that this monitor is actually better than the video and games we play on it. This is a impressive unit I must say, and I would recommend it to anybody looking to get one of the best monitors money can buy!

I’m never going to be able to go back

I bought my first OLED TV (a 77” Samsung, one of the higher end models) a year and a half ago. I have always been a Sony guy, but I found their OLED TVs to be too expensive for my taste, so I acquiesced and got the Samsung. Needless to say, I wish it was a Sony, but the picture is so good that even my high end LED Sony TVs annoy me now because I get bothered by the lack of true blacks and nitpick about my perceived flaws (real or not). I spend most of my time gaming on an 85” Sony, but it’s only a mid grade TV and it has been okay for me. I only game at my computer sporadically (I have a Ryzen 9 with a 5070) because my monitor is a 32” curved no name brand that I bought during pandemic. Enter Alienware OLED. I was concerned that it would be too small but at my desk’s viewing distance, 27” is perfect. The size didn’t even matter once I booted it up. It’s kind of like how the first time I saw HD TV in around 2005 and that whole era through 2007 where the channels started popping up in HD and everything looked like it had another dimension to it. I’d say that the leap is bigger moving to an OLED computer desk monitor than it was moving to OLED main TV. It feels like everything I’m looking at has a new depth to it. The colors are deeper, the motion feels clearer.. everything looks awesome and it’s not just resolution. OLED in your face produces something special. I’ll never go back to LCD, to the chagrin of my wallet. Highly recommended.
