Great secondary monitor!

I needed a replacement for an older (yeah, expensive) 27” and the Alienware fit the bill. It’s my secondary coding screen (primary is a 55” OLED 4K) and I’m able to read the screen without strain.

It seems to happen in almost any game I play randomly. And when it starts, it'll happen sometimes even on the desktop until I reboot the system. All in all, this has soured me on Alienware. The options in the menus is quite poor. There is no gamma control even. You can do better, the big name brands budget offerings. Just are not good when you compare them to competitors. They have less options, and more issues. There is a fair amount of IPS glow in the top left corner. While the bottom corners have the over pressure glow. You can tell because IPS glow is more blue, and too much pressure glow is more yellow in appearance. So the uniformity...is just not great either. All in all, i think this has soured me on IPS in general. Because of the poor performance in VRR, bad black levels. And glow in the corners. I just cant stand this kind of QC and issues. And if all IPS have similar or worse glow. Then its just something that is off the table for me. And I will go back to VA panels, and even if the motion is worse. At least it will be uniform and have blacks that look black.

I played with it mostly on PlayStation and it was fine for the time I had it but when I wanted to up the hertz to 120 the quality got really bad and I’m just looking for something better. I’m not sure how it would be with PC but that is how it is with PlayStation.
