A stunning 4K gaming monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Alienware AW2725Q is one of the most compelling 27″ 4K OLED gaming monitors available right now. When it works as intended, its combination of resolution, color depth, refresh rate, and responsiveness delivers a premium experience. As long as you’re willing to accept a few tradeoffs (brightness, no speakers, pay attention to burn-in), it’s hard to beat for high-end gaming and media consumption.

Beautiful screen, good ui, high HZ.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this screen. I did get it at discount, as it's definitely on the high side of costs. However: It's utterly georgious. Whether because it's oled, or 4k, or both. It's absolutely beautiful. It comes with a cord for updates if needed, but it's plug and play. You don't actually need to update it. You don't even need the software app if you don't want it. It's got good built in settings, can still be modified with usual computer settings, and has a manual control to change or activate/deactivate most of it's features. It's also got a LOT of ports if you need them. If you do get the software, as far as I know it's on windows but not sure about linux. It's convenient but i've only really used it to alter the alien vision, which is a nice option but not really a must-have. Even the stand it comes with is very quality. All in all I have literally zero complaints. I use it almost exclusively for gaming, the brightness is PLENTY. I have it on the absolute lowest setting at all times. You don't need to worry about low brightness, it's overkill. The colors, speed, and detail are wonderful. My gpu can't handle native 4k in all games, but whether in a lower resolution or upscaled, everything looks good on this screen. if it's in your budget, i highly recommend this monitor.

Alienware 4k 240hz OLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first 4k monitor. Its night an day difference btween my 2k IPS and my 1080p 360hz Alienware dark side of the Moon. I prefer my 1080p Alienware for CS2 but i use the OLED 4k for everything else. It has build in pixcel refresh which ive found convenient.

keep in mind with the flaws
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.it would be perfect if it had speakers or an AUX output the older models have an issue with the screen (randomly goes black for 2 seconds) can get it replaced by Dell Support though other than that, high quality monitor for sure

Great Quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The monitor is a good size, the quality of the image is great with the OLED screen makes the color more vivid compared to regular monitors. I used this monitor for gaming, the high fps is great for playing on console because you max out the consoles capability but also great for a gaming pc where you can take advantage of the max FPS . The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because it does not have an aux port while some versions do come with it this one unfortunately did not.

Wish I could have kept them!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two AW2725Q monitors, but unfortunately I had to return them due to incompatibility issues with two identical monitors being detected at the same time by my work laptop (MacBook Pro M4). I wish it had worked because the image is exceptionally vibrant. I got them on sale for $700 for context. The semi-glossy coating is delicate, but really good. Basically all the benefits of full glossy clarity, but when a game scene cuts to black in a lit room, I don't see my own reflection like I do on my replacement monitor (An LG 32GX850A-B glossy WOLED). The purple/ambient black level raise typical of qd-oled is there if you are looking for it, but is pretty much not an issue for me even working in a well-lit room with sunlight. It was much less of a problem than I was expecting. I prefer this qd-oled monitor during the day over my current WOLED replacement with its super glossy screen. The colors on the AW2725Q blew my mind when I watched Wicked, or Avatar: Way of Water for the first time in a dark room. They truly tickle my retinas in a way my current WOLED cannot. I intended to use two AW2725Q's for work and gaming, which currently is not recommended by most people due to burn-in risk. But I say life is too short to stare at IPS-panel light bleed for 10 hours a day. The only annoyance in my mind was the every 4-hour refresh cycle, but it is important for long term care. However, it is peace of mind that Alienware supports burn-in on their warranty for three years, and apparently support is great through Dell. However, I believe there is some limit to the number of hours of on-time, so if you use it for work like I wanted, you would run short of the three-year mark for the burn-in replacement.

the open box bestbuy experience
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 16:9, and i needed 2560 x1080 or 3440 x 1440 21:9, which the product has pixels for but does not support. I thought it was a good buy cuz it had the 4k flexibility. This was the reason it was returned. Would have been better if the display port cable and cleaning cloth that came with brand new boxing was still included, but these were missing even though the open box was listed as excellent. These were not deal breakers, just could have been better. Color/contrast was off by a lot when hdr was turned on outside of gaming but wasn't deal breaker. I was just viewing sdr content in hdr. The open box deal came with moderate fingerprints on the screen. I don't think the back logo that was supposed to turn on ever turned on, and I do have a separate Alienware machine to pair it with, including the Alienware command center. But I didn't spend more time trying to configure it anyway. Out side of that, I asked ai copilot if i should keep it or return it, and according to AI, this thing even with open box and holiday price was 200%+ the price and only 15%-50%+ increased performance than its brand new va-mini led alternative, and the only definite win to keep it was because the alienware build was so premium that the expected years of usage would be 80-95% longer than the alternative. But AI said just replace the cheaper thing later for better at half the price again in 4-8 years. And I agree. So unless you are alienware fan, or bestbuy fan, or has lots of money, or need this for some professional reason, I would not recommend the product due to its price. As for the open box bestbuy experience, I'd say go for it if you don't value your time, it's a good learning experience. If the price was even lower, and still had the cables and accessories, I'd consider come back for it.

Top of the line specs at a reasonable price point
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is pretty good for what it provides, the 4k resolution is crisp and the refresh rate is as advertised. Monitor was easy to set up and updating the firmware as well. Only issue I have with this product is the Dolby Vision feature. When I toggle Dolby Vision on/off at 240hz, the monitor goes black and requires a PC reboot to work again. I can only toggle Dolby Vision properly if I lower the refresh rate first. That’s quite inconvenient for someone who wants to swap between watching media and playing smooth games. All in all, this is a good 4k OLED 240hz option for the price point with some noticeable flaws.

Amazing monitor
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the colors in everything on tomorrow are perfect it's the first time I start playing games on it It was like seeing the world anew, Even though it's such a great and amazing monitor I still only going to get a four stars because for some other reason it keeps on blinking off and on so until I get that fixed it's going to stay at 4

Stunning
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pixel density and quality is stunning. Of the OLED displays I own, this one is the least annoying when it comes to pixel refresh prompting. It typically just runs overnight when the monitor is asleep.

Great Monitor, Bad Open Box Condition
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The monitor itself was amazing beautiful colors and very smooth. However, it was categorized as Excellent condition open box, I had to return it because it came with noticable scratches on the oled screen.

Alienware does it again!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Truly amazing colors. Bought the AW3423DWF when it first came out and was amazed by the colors and dark blacks. Decided i wanted to get a second monitor and go with 4k instead of 2K but wasn't convinced there would be much difference, but not only is the screen crisper because of the higher PPI but the colors seem to pop even more especially with Dolby vision content. Debating on getting a second one.

Great Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I calibrated this monitor with Calibrite Display Pro HL or Display Cal and the colors are wonderful. Everything looks so smooth in the video games I've been playing and I wish got an OLED sooner. The reason it's not a 5 star is because I wish I can adjust the OLED care settings instead of just pixel cleaning and no other option. Yes auto dimming and pixel shift is automatic but I would still like some control at least to have some ease of mind. Down the line I wish I can get a second 1 of these or another OLED. OLED's gotten to the point where they're relatively affordable.

Great if you can snag at a discount
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn’t really impressed with this monitor. The hdr is not as good as the pg27ucdm and so isn’t the colors. Might end up returning it and wait for the pg32ucdm3 as it’s getting the 4th gen panel. It’s definitely worth the price if you can snag this one at a discount, though. Would definitely recommend waiting till it drops to $600 or less, that will be a great buy for this monitor. Especially since the new gens are already coming out.

Phenomenal monitor. Don't think twice!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic monitor! Using it for both my PC and switch 2. I love OLED monitors and this monitor, in particular, is amazing. I purchased this as an open box and took a chance. The monitor was mostly in excellent condition. The only issue was that the panel did not come with the protective film and there are some scratches.

Oled Color and clarity
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up this OLED monitor from Best Buy and I’m honestly impressed. The colors look incredible, blacks are super deep, and everything looks smooth and sharp whether I’m gaming or watching videos. Definitely one of the best upgrades I’ve made for my setup.
