This has been a major upgrade from my previous LG monitor. I love it.

This is a fantastic monitor! This is the first ultrawide that I’ve owned, and I absolutely love it so far. The true blacks are amazing to look at and the monitor is very bright too if you are into that. Comes with good OLED care as well, which I greatly appreciate.

Love this monitor. Phenomenal value considering many comparable ones are higher. Gloss surface does get spotty easily needing cleaning often

This monitor isn’t perfect, but it’s absolutely fantastic. The picture is sharp, the screen is bright, the colors are brilliant, and the black levels are like ink. The extra wide format gives so much extra screen real estate that it’s honestly hard to go back to anything less than this or a dual screen. The real treat with the 21:9 aspect ratio is when games or movies use the entire screen. Blade Runner 2049 in ultra wide 4K HDR is an experience. And I’m beyond happy to report that Diablo IV fills the entire screen during gameplay, which really opens up a lot more of the map. The curve of the screen is gentle enough that it adds a little sense of immersion while up close, yet is barely noticeable from a distance. Playing Forza Horizon 5, it felt like the edges of the road reached towards my peripherals. Same with the background in Cyberpunk 2077. It makes a mild difference overall, but does add to the experience. What really makes this screen shine though, is the native 3440x1440 QD-OLED HDR1000 panel. I’ve had 4K screens before, but QD-OLED technology really opens up the joys (and headaches) of HDR. OLED and HDR go together like peanut butter and jelly. Both technologies are focused on expanding the color and illumination details to create a more brilliant and lifelike image. A lot of people associate that with vibrant and colorful images (for good reason), but even more impressive is how it brings out the details in dark scenes. Black images are truly black, yet you can still see what you’re supposed to see (no more turning up the brightness so black is gray). This was huge for playing a visually dark game like Diablo IV where you might spend a lot of time in dark dungeons and caves. A good movie example of how the light localization of OLED panels and the increased range of HDR work well together is the hotel shootout at the end of John Wick 3. The flashlights were so bright against the dark black setting that they almost seemed blinding. It was wonderful! I have LED HDTV’s with HDR, but OLED takes it to another level. To have that as a 34” ultrawide 165Hz gaming monitor is like driving a Porsche on open roads to work everyday. It even includes the test sheet to show it was factory calibrated to a Delta E less than 2 (considered a professional), which explains why it looks great right out of the box. But as grin-inducing as this monitor can be, there are a few moments of madness that I believe are more software than hardware related. For some reason, I cannot get Netflix to smoothly stream 4K HDR video through the DP1.4 connection, but it will through HDMI. I don’t know if it’s an issue with my graphics card (RTX 2080 Super), cables, or Netflix itself, but it just won’t play Netflix properly in 4K through the DisplayPort. I could just use HDMI to alleviate the 4K Netflix issue, but it limits the screen refresh to 100Hz, while DP maximizes it to 165Hz. I don’t think it’s a hardware issue, because I can game in 4K HDR @165Hz over DP just fine and YouTube in 4K HDR is absolute eyeball candy. Anyway, this is only an issue with the Windows11 Netflix app, and the problem goes away if I’m streaming in 1080P. Another thing to be mindful of with this monitor are the infamous burn-ins associated with OLED panels. Supposedly, Alienware says this panel was designed to prevent them and they stand by it with a 3 year warranty. There’s a pixel refresh reminder that automatically pops up after about 4 hours, but you can turn it off. I don’t know if there’s pixel shift to prevent burn-in like plasma TV’s had, but so far so good. I do try to be mindful of not keeping a static image on the screen for too long, but the warranty keeps me worry free. Overall, if this monitor is in your budget, buy it. Having true HDR makes a world of difference in dark scenes, and the extra wide curved 4K format is just delicious. And despite officially being a Freesync monitor, I’m happy to report it’s also G-Sync friendly. This is a wonderful gaming monitor and I’m looking forward to playing a lot of Diablo on it. Amazing Monitor!!! Bought it for better streaming capabilities and it served its purpose perfectly. My only disappointment is that some gaming options don’t have support for the 21:9 ratio yet, but of course, that’s not Alienware’s fault.

Perfect gaming monitor for my PC. Runs the best quality games at high resolution with the OLED. Would recommend

Like alot of the reviews say, this gave me the wow factor, even the box it comes in is bad aaa. This monitor makes you feel unique and looks futuristic. Im happy with my purchase. Got it on sale for 777$ plus tax 840.

This is a beautiful monitor, the best. It is arguably better than the more expensive AW3423DW. For gaming and media consumption, man, what an experience. However Bestbuy's poor quality control and process completely ruined this purchase for me. I purchased this as Open-Box: EXCELLENT. Bestbuy describes this as everything being inspected and set to factory condition, that it's like new. The monitor arrived n the worst shape I've seen any tech gadget being in. It looks like it's been in a monitor-shredder. A 10+ year old used monitor would look better than this. This does not just look used, but ABUSED heavily. *Scratches ALL OVER THE SCREEN *Deep dents around the edges of the screen *Deep dents on the stand *Missing critical accessories *Started up with screen in urgent need of pixel refresh and monitor refresh. *I'm sure there's deeper damage to the screen, but it's impossible to inspect due to all the scratches. Seriously, it looks like a cat treated this monitor as a scratch post for 10 years. Here's everything that's missing: - Everything from the original packaging is missing, except the screen, stand, power cord, and display cable. - No film that protects the screen. - No foam/cardboard packaging that holds the screen in place - No documentation of any kind. - No screen cleaner. - No warranty card. - No quick start guide. - No factory calibration certification. FURTHERMORE. Essential accessories that's part of the monitor is missing. Such as the back cover that covers up the cable guide area. I was shocked to see the monitor came in a generic cardboard box. The screen was just thrown in there with a bunch of bubble wraps. There was absolutely to protect the screen or protect it from shifting and bumping around. No packaging except the box and bubbles, and certainly nothing that was the original packaging. And all that, this was certified as "EXCELLENT" condition. Wow. Returning prompto. Other than that this would've been a great monitor for gaming and multimedia.

Really good product, unfortunately just a touch outclassed by the new Gen3 panels. Still a great deal for the price.

This item is amazing. Im running my ASUS ROG ALLY that i got for christmas gufted from my wife. Best buy made my in store pick up process smooth and easy so i must one recommend this product and two recommend purchasing for pick up as its quick and easy.

Lost intrest in video gaming a couple years ago, bought this monitor and that has all changed. The immersion this monitor provides can literally give me motion sickness if i sit too close on some games. Love everything about this monitor, Best pc upgrade you will ever invest in. Takes a bit of tinkering with windows and HDR settings, but well worth it.

Outstanding color and perfect blacks. Response time and latancy is on point, one of the perfect ultrawide oled monitors out there. Iv had this for a year and have no issues whatsoever.

So far this monitor has been great on pc. Looks amazing gaming. I’ve been running 100hz because DP1.4 can’t do 10 bit color at 165. Accurate sdr modes. My Mac doesn’t handle HDR great, but I think that’s just how Apple is with non Apple monitors.

First time using a ultra wide monitor for my gaming rig I’ll have to say best choice of ever made. It’s very quiet. Don’t hear the fans in the back looks really great. I definitely recommend this.

it's a good monitor but for the price i wasn't exactly blown away. i kind of wish i would have gone with the g8 for the smart features. the screen gets so dirty so quick. the blacks are the standout feature that is impressive true blacks that really shine compared to non oled panels. i heard so many good things i was just excepting to be blown away and although its impressive its not 800$ impressive.

I have never purchased any Dell products before buying the new aw3423dwf monitor. I am complexly salified I'm coming from the acer x34 predator 34 & there is no comparison. The packaging, design & over build quality is note worthy. great product works well paired with my Asus RTX 4080 oc !

Once you have played on this monitor, all over monitors look washed out and cheap, it has ruined my life :)

Very good, met expectations! I bought an open box, only the box had some damage, the screen was in excellent condition. Just one complaint, the HDMI cable that came with the piece was not compatible with its capacity

It's a really great monitor.. sadly the one down side for the reason I can't give it a five-star.. is that every 4 hours the monitor wants to do a OLED reset... Takes about 9 minutes... If you don't do it it could cause damage to the OLED panel... Which kind of sucks when you're in a game and that message pops up.. you can turn it off but it's not recommended

My goodness what a clean display this is. I never knew I could have such deep blacks in a display before. If only more content was available/optimized for the ultrawide form factor could I get way more in depth. For now, I'll just enjoy what I can gaming on this screen. IT'S SO GOOD!
