I was lucky enough to grab this 17" R5 refurbished so I saved about $600 or so. The design quality and lighting are top notch. The specs for the build w/ this particular setup is definitely a great bang for the $. It's fully capable to handle just about anything you throw at it. Heat isn't an issue with normal use and when you're pushing this to the limits it still stays fairly cool. The cooling design works well. I'm still adding a cooling pad underneath as it just helps. The HD screen is phenomenal too. I really don't have any complaints. Will certainly update if needed 1 thing I would have liked is the ability to add a protection plan from Best Buy but they don't offer it on refurbished laptops.
