Keyboard doesnt light up sometimes, screen dances and pixelates. Had some recovery key thing i had to figure out so i could use the thing. Ill never but this brand again!!

The computer runs well even though they ship it with the slowest possible 3200mhz RAM I think is on the market? It's built like TRASH. Like maybe they actually did just use their trash? The frame feels so cheap and not solid. The letters on the keyboard have worn off in only a few months of normal use and Dell support told me "there is nothing we can do for you"... Like not only is it not covered under my warranty but I cant even buy replacements or get it fixed. It looks like RGB garbage now and the keys have annoying texture where the cheap laminate has worn. IS TRASH

Cons: Dell support sucks, bios update removed virtualization support and now i have to buy another computer for the class im taking! Dells response? Youll have to find a third-party if you want virtualization on that machine.

The laptop stayed around 80-90°C when idle. While gaming cpu temp spiked to 100°C and maintained that temp the entire gaming session. I had to contact Dell and they replaced the heat sink twice but that did not resolve the issue. Finally Dell sent me a replacement and that is working fine. However this device gets very hot and you need to do somw tweaks to make keep the temperature down. If someone is okay to expect that high temp, then this laptop is great. Otherwise go to other alternatives.

Below I have provided troubleshooting instructions with the full article that can help you resolve this issue.
Here are the steps to help resolve your heating issue:
1. Make sure the system is in a well-ventilated area.
2. Use laptops on flat surfaces to improve airflow. Hard tabletops are recommended and avoid using any type of cloth or any other soft material under the laptop.
3. For desktop systems make sure there is enough clearance around the system to allow the air to flow. If the system is in an enclosure try to move it to a more ventilated area for testing.
4. Check that the air vents are clean and that nothing is obstructing them.
5. Update your system BIOS to the latest available on the Dell Support Site.
6. You can reset your BIOS settings to undo any changes that could be causing the system to overheat.
7. Disable NVIDIA G SYNC and run a stress test using SupportAssist.
8. Navigate to the Thermal Controls in the Alienware Command Center, which is found under the Fusion tab. There you can adjust the thermal control of system fans and change the status of active venting.
