This Laptop has the perfect balance of power for it's price. Right out of the box I was able to run render heavy programs like Premiere pro using 6k footage with ease. And with the ability to upgrade if necessary. Battery life on the other hand is so so. If you're a creator or streamer, you're going to have to plug in.

Great laptop. Open box, but pretty much brand new just without the manufacturer box. Awesome gaming laptop, but like most gaming laptops the battery does not last when not being plugged in. Most I’ve gotten in normal mode was an hour when checking emails and online.

The Alienware M16 R1 is an excellent gaming laptop. It's powerful but loud and not very portable; it weighs more than 7 pounds, and the included power brick is about the size of a Switch Lite and weighs an additional 3 pounds. Shape-wise, the machine is more square than the average laptop, so while my backpack is for up to 17" machines, the Alienware M16 just barely fits. I like this machine because I'm getting the maximum performance from the CPU and GPU (making every dollar count!), the RAM is upgradable, and there's an open M.2 slot for a storage upgrade. During extended gameplay, the chassis remained relatively cool even though HWiNFO reported ~70W average power consumption for the CPU and ~110W for the GPU. Remember that this machine lacks a fingerprint reader, and the 165Hz display option lacks Windows Hello support. Also, it lacks a subwoofer, so the built-in speakers are actually worse than my older Alienware 17 R3.

I loved this laptop, it's very fast, it has everything I need, my children and my husband use it and it works excellently, it doesn't overheat, especially the store where I went to pick it up. They treated me very well and were very kind.

Alienware m16 i7, RTX4070 8GB, 16GB ram, 165 hz. It was a so long dream to own an Alienware. Bought this on a BF Best Buy deal. It had the exact configuration that I was looking for. I was looking for best of the both worlds, ideal for gaming and can be used as a laptop for some light work. Little did I know I had to return this piece. Pros: 1). Alienware has done a good job with designing the laptop. The RGB lights, the alien head, and the light panel at the back, around the ports are magnificent. Truly eye-catching. 2) Build quality is really good. Sturdy RGB backlit keyboard. Metallic body. Cons: 1) WEIGHT: It really heavy, ~3.3kgs around. I was still okay with carrying the machine around if need be, but my thoughts were totally smoked when I saw its charger. The charger is itself 1.3 kgs which no one is telling. Total weighing ~5 kgs. Imagine carrying that when moving around. 2) GAME testing: Installed the very first game, COD:Warzone to test it out. It lags at the very first opening scene of the game. No lags were seen during the gameplay. But when the game ends, the battle pass screen gets stuck for 3-4 second. The configs of this laptop were way beyond the recommended requirement of the game but the game still glitched. I do not think this should have happened. And yes, the charge was plugged in during the gameplay. 3) Battery Backup: It lasts only about 1 hr on battery with no gaming. This was highly disappointing. You buy a laptop so that you can use it for 2-3 hrs working without a charger but that didn't work. Overall, wasn't a good experience. You expect the Alienware brand to perform well. If you are looking for gaming, I would suggest going for high-end Alienware(considering budget) equivalent ASUS models, or any other brand model. I have now bought an ASUS ROG m16 Zephyrus now. Let's see how it performs.

Good and compact laptop. In the past, I used a Lenovo Y510p gaming laptop, and now this. Great upgrade. Nice built quality and good sound system. Great display and fast response.

This thing is a powerhouse. And you can tell by the jet engine level of fan noise it makes when playing games. I don’t mind because I use a noise cancelling headset. When you’re not playing games it’s quiet for the most part. Have had some issues with random restarts while playing games through a connected monitor but that was mostly my fault for messing with the BIOS and pushing it too hard for playing through another monitor. Other than that it’s awesome

It's better than the m16 R2 when it comes to power and performance, and we got the stadium lighting! I haven't bought an Alienware since 2012 and I gotta say it was worth it.

I ve had this laptop for a month, still running awesome, sofar . Best performance and interesting feature including Alienware comand center that actually easy to use for RGB customization

This alienware is really a work of art and if u get it for a good price u will really be happy with this laptopif u know what ur doing this laptop will shock u with what it can do

My experience with the product is being wonderful, it's a computer that doesn't crash, I turbocharged the computer still in the store, I put 2tb of Ssd and 32Gb.

Great laptop. It handles maxed out settings on Diablo 4 and WOW withouf issues, while using discord chat.

Absolutely mind numbing first impression and an unbeatable price point. I was impressed with the design and feel of the laptop that has an extraordinary keyboard and layouts. Expert reviews will rant on port locations but for me its Absolutely where I wanted it to be, away from my left and right hands. Surprisingly enough I love the heavier nimbleness of this laptop everything about it feels premium. I would highly recommend this laptop at any price point for this setup with a RTX 4070 laptop.

Powerfull laptop! It works really well even with some heavy games ,sometimes the cooling system can be a little bit noisy but its totaly fine !

I am really satisfied with the product. It is performing exactly as expected. I am able to do my college work and gaming very smoothly.

Purchased brand new on 10/9/2023, first thing I noticed was the screen has nasty backlight bleed. The other complaint is this laptop’s power adapter-I’m not exaggerating, the charger is literally the size of a brick and it probably weights 2-3 pounds (just the charger alone). Native performance on assassin's creed valhalla at 1440p with max settings was around 70fps, I liked that the laptop does not get hot to the touch when gaming (just gets warm).

I got open box one and it is 100% worth the money. The performance and cooling system is outstanding.
