While it took awhile to get the laptop up and running because of the expansive number of security, windows, software, and driver updates, it was well worth the wait. I am not sure if this had anything to do with the fact that this has Windows 11 Pro versus Home. Thankfully I was able to get this laptop at a significant discount during a great sale. Pricing this in comparison to other laptops I had looked at, taking into account the discount, this laptop is far better than all the others. The 13th generation i7 CPU and RTX 4070 are game changers. Checking CPU and GPU benchmarks and now having played two significant resource usage games at very high settings, this laptop screams with speed. The fan is continually running but it isn’t terribly loud under heavy load and what really sets this apart from other gaming laptops is the significant cooling channels. It is a bit heavy due to the fact that the case is aluminum instead of plastic but this is a definite win in the trade off category. And yes, because it is a gaming laptop the battery life is not great. However, this laptop has the ability to auto detect if you are gaming, if not gaming it throttles everything down and even bypasses any usage of the GPU. Very nice feature.

I recently purchased the Alienware M16, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. From its sleek, futuristic design to its top-of-the-line performance, this laptop is an absolute powerhouse. Performance: The M16 is equipped with the latest Intel Core i9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card, delivering an insanely smooth experience even for the most demanding games and creative software. Whether I'm gaming at ultra settings or working with high-resolution video editing, the laptop handles everything with ease. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in multitasking as well, with no lag or slowdowns during intensive use. Display: The 16-inch QHD+ display is breathtaking. With 240Hz refresh rate and excellent color accuracy, it’s perfect for both gaming and content creation. The visuals are vibrant, and the screen is bright enough to use comfortably in various lighting conditions. Design: As expected from Alienware, the M16 has a premium build quality. The materials feel durable yet lightweight, and the aesthetic is bold yet refined. The RGB lighting around the keyboard adds a nice personal touch that makes the laptop look even cooler. Keyboard and Trackpad: The keyboard is extremely responsive, with excellent key travel, making it a pleasure to type on. The trackpad is large and smooth, making navigation easy and precise. Cooling System: One of the standout features is the advanced cooling system. Despite running heavy workloads, the laptop remains impressively cool and quiet, which is a huge advantage for long gaming or work sessions. Battery Life: While gaming laptops are notorious for poor battery life, the Alienware M16 manages to offer solid performance even when not plugged in. I can get several hours of regular use, though of course, gaming will drain it faster. Overall: The Alienware M16 is an outstanding laptop that delivers in every area: performance, display, design, and user experience. It’s the perfect choice for serious gamers, content creators, and professionals who need a high-end machine. If you're looking for a laptop that can handle anything you throw at it, the M16 is worth every penny.

The Alienware m16 is a wonderful machine and it is worthy of its price tag. I say this coming from a 2022 Alienware R17 with RTX 3070. the difference in performance is worth it. what's to love? - Alienware name - Alienware build quality - the ability to upgrade Ram (2 slots) and to add an additional M2 NVME SSD. I opened my laptop for you to see where you can upgrade the SSD and replace the Ram modules (highlighted in purple) - Win 11 Professional- I know this isn't for everyone but I sometime have to access work files from home. because of the nature of my work I have to have bitlocker enabled in order for me to join my workgroup, which requires Win professional. what's to like: - Screen Quality is very good with 165 hz display. its bright enough for gaming if you want to use it and more than great for work, streaming. - Keyboard quality is good and has a somewhat mechanical feel to it. - The wifi adapter is great: comes with Killer E3100G 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Controller - comes with an SD card reader. What's left to be desired: - Finger print security. - a smaller charging brick! this thing is going no where, check the picture and you will understand what i am saying. game play: This is really a great gaming laptop at a not a bad deal price. it ran all games I play with ease (Forza 5, GOW, NFS Hot Persuit remastered). with the G-sync ability and the superior ray tracing that comes as part of the 4070 package, I don't have anything to complain about. I added a picture of this M16 on top of the 2022 R17 from Alienware as a reference if you were contemplating getting 16 or 17 inches. this laptop is great and I plan on swapping the Ram to the max of 64 GB and I will add another NVME to have a 3 TB total.

The Alienware m16 QHD+ 165Hz Gaming Laptop is a powerhouse of gaming performance. Its hardware impresses with exceptional speed, enabling seamless high-quality gaming at high frame rates. The laptop's robust components ensure lag-free gameplay, making it a dream for gamers. What makes this laptop stand out are its impressive QHD+ display and the silky smooth 165Hz refresh rate. The visuals are stunning, offering crisp and vibrant graphics that truly immerse you in your gaming world. The laptop's audio quality is equally impressive, enhancing the overall gaming experience. However, the laptop's weight is a drawback, as it is on the heavier side, which may not make it the most portable option for those on the go. In summary, the Alienware m16 is an exceptional gaming laptop with top-tier hardware, impressive display, and a high refresh rate. It excels at providing a fantastic gaming experience, albeit with the trade-off of being a bit heavy. If you're looking for a gaming rig that can handle the most demanding titles without breaking a sweat, this laptop is worth considering.

Pros: Great CPU, Great GPU, Decent storage, and Size. Cons: Weight, Power Consumption on battery, Huge power supply, Display Bleed, and horrible integrated software from Alienware. Brief summary: Don’t let the cons outweigh the pros. This laptop is an absolute powerhouse and for the price it’s best in its class. They are some obvious issues with dells software that doesn’t integrate well with it though and after an update it no longer allows me to change the rgb which I haven’t bothered fixing not a huge deal. The power of the laptop is on par if not better than my desktop at home. Cod fun’s at over 165fps with frame gen on with the 40 series cards and the screen looks great. The only screen issue I found is it bleeds light around the corners and is very noticeable on black backgrounds. Overall I’m satisfied with my purchase and would recommend.but like everything just needs some quality of life improvements.

Worth the buck... if you're thinking to get a laptop with a 40 series GPU for 1500, I think this is what you should go for . Very happy with the customer support for Alienware . It's power packed ......... it can run high memory consuming games like Forza horizon 5 very smooth (without even connecting the charger and not in performance mode in extreme graphics) . The only down side of this laptop is it's weight and portability, it comes with a 330 watt charger which is a brick and consumes a lot of space in my bag , definitely can't be used as a primary laptop because of the portability issues , I would rate the display a 3 star as it doesn't have a IR CAMERA OPTION as it's siblings(240,480 hz) the unit I got had some screen bleeding , but Alienware and bestbuy guys got it sorted and gave a me a new unit (which is pretty good) leaving that it's worth the buck and it's too much power for the buck , which is a good thing. BUY IT!!

The Alienware m16 is an amazing piece of kit that is capable of replacing many modern desktop gaming pc's to give you an amazing gaming experience on the go. This model of m16 has an Intel i7 cpu with 16 cores and 24 threads as well as an Nvidia 4070 featuring DLSS 3 image reconstruction for even better frame rates. There are plenty of RGB lights on this laptop with a circular zone in the back i/o port section as well as the Alienware heads on the lid and power button not to mention the per key RGB keyboard. Speaking of the keyboard it is a joy to type on and the keyboard nor the palm rest got hot while gaming. The screen gets over 300 nits and has gsync at 165Hz refresh rate at 2560x1600 resolution with decent viewing angles. The cooling setup has vapor chambers as well as plenty of fans that keep the laptop cool while gaming, they can get loud but only under full load and not when you are doing less intensive tasks. Rocket League my game of choice got over 400 FPS while maxed out graphically so there is plenty of power to be thrown at any game you might play. There are some downsides but they may be overlooked based on your needs. The first being the giant power brick that is supplied as the charger but you may purchase a slim model from the manufacturer afterwards and the second is that you cannot charge this laptop over USB-C so are forced to use the giant power brick. All in all the m16 is a monster and if you are looking for a laptop with amazing power then look no further.

The screen was ok. Im use to the 500 nits. I had to adjust my 4k monitor alot to get the desired look. Once done it was beautiful. The thermals were'nt an issue. I ran Cod, Battlefield 2024 and Hogwarts at Ulta settings-No prob. Battery life was non-existent, software issues daily. I believe Alien Command Center was the behind it. I had to reinstall it 6 times. Very heavy. Charger was almost size of notebook which i would have delt with that. I really wanted to love it but the software problems, I just couldn't deal with. The brightness wasn't there. Couldnt get the settings app to load 6 or 7 times a day. Constant restart needed to open it. I Returned it.

This laptop is, far and away, the best you can buy with these specs. It's definitely heavier than almost any other gaming laptop with the same specs, though that is not a bad thing. The laptop is built like a tank. It's big, about an inch thick, and unlike most gaming laptops, it is not flimsy whatsoever. It is also not as flashy as other gaming laptops. The alien on the back of the screen lights up, but it is not gaudy. Also, every light, including the power button, is RGB lit. The hardware is great. The internals are very well designed. There is tons of cooling and ventilation, which makes the computer exceptionally quiet, even under full load. The speakers are also loud and clear. The screen is mounted on top-mount hinges, which is a better design than most gaming laptops with their kickstand style screens. The panel is high quality with no bleed through, and has a nice matte finish which prevents glare. This laptop can play virtually any game at high, if not maximum settings, at 2650x1600 resolution at over 80fps, with a 165fps maximum. If you're looking for an excellent laptop, look no further.

The computer works well. It is fast and the graphics are great. Good for gaming. However, it is very heavy, it makes a lot of noise and it heats up very quickly. It is hard to carry it with you. The charger is also big and heavy like a brick.

This laptop is one for gamer's who like to travel on the go and want to pack a punch in power or those who prefer to not have a bulky tower. I played CYBERPUNK, COD, BATTLEFIELD, HELL LET LOOSE, SQUAD , StarWars Battlefront II, No Man's Sky, and other titles. FPS in CyberPunk on average is 90-112 at high with high RTX enabled at 2k resolution. which is pretty good considering its a laptop gpu. VRChat is meh but in newer worlds you'll see 70-90 fps but older ones due the it being a old engine you'll see 40-45 fps in the black cat and great pug. Surprisingly the Alienware Software isn't in your face and it is subtle which is a great factor. GPU-RTX 4070 8gb. I know 8gb doesn't sound like a lot compared to its PC component being at 12gb but I can promise you it's not a huge turn off. Today's Game's are getting harder to run but that doesn't necessarily mean it uses more VRAM if I'm being honest I can see this lasting 5-6 years it is a future proof laptop. Display the m16 QHD+ 165Hz gives true to color performance the resolution is 2440 x 1600 which puts it at 2k the pixels are so dense you cant see them the view is great. The speakers are also phenomenal. Remarks Complete of the Alienware m16 QHD+

Let me start by saying I have purchased many gaming laptops from various manufacturers and have had (mostly) positive experiences. This one however, was exceptional. For those who are unsure of what mixture of components is better/best and are not the most tech savvy I will save you some time: The 165hz 1440p panel is the perfect when paired with the RTX 4070 mobile graphics card. All triple A titles run above and below this refresh rate, making gameplay buttery smooth while still looking sharp. 16 GB of ram and a 1 TB solid state drive are great for performance and storage, but Alienware cranks up the user upgradability experience by making it simple to swap ram or add storage. Thermals are not an issue and the laptop runs cool under load. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this laptop and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a solid performing laptop at a great price.

Alright, listen up, gaming legends! The Alienware m16 is here to rock your world faster than a caffeinated cheetah on roller skates! With an Intel Core i7, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, and 16GB of memory, this laptop is basically the superhero squad of gaming gear. And that QHD+ display? It's so sharp, it could make Wolverine jealous. Storage? Pfft! 1TB SSD means you can hoard more games than a dragon guarding its treasure. And the design? It's sleeker than a secret agent on a mission to steal your heart. Finished in Dark Metallic Moon, it's like having a piece of the night sky right on your desk.

Purchased for school since most laptops don’t have the capability needed. I can easily run my CAD programs, stream music and run class programs at the same time with little to no disruption. The only downfall is battery life. I can usually get 2-3 hours of CAD programming in before the battery dies. Currently looking for an upgraded battery

Big fan of my new laptop. I had to buy something that ran windows for school because the programs I was required to use for class were not available on Mac. I was slightly worried that I’d be disappointed with its speed and usability compared to the MacBook Pro but this thing is faster and super user friendly. The only downside is how loud the fan is. If that thing kicks on in class, everyone is looking at me funny and sometime it will kick on for seemingly no reason. The charging brick is also huge and the battery life isn’t great but I don’t mind. It’s the only thing in my backpack and every classroom has an outlet I can use. Other than that, love it.

I'm gonna give it a five star review. I got this thing for 1699 and it was well worth it. It replaced my 3080/5800x gaming desktop and I'd say it's about on par or a tiny bit better, thing is nice. There's a few tweaks you should do in the bios and OS settings to get it running properly (so the fans aren't too loud) but once that's done this thing is pretty dang sick. Two things I'd recommend to consider would be upgrading RAM and storage options, but other than that it is a very speedy lil guy.

Theres not a game that I tried that this laptop couldnt handle at max graphics when plugged in, but the fan is so loud that its almost unenjoyable. Even though its a laptop, it’s hardly portable. This thing is HEAVY. And the 330W charger is a monster. It’s awkward to take this setup anywhere outside of the game room. If powerful is what you’re looking for, get this. If you’re looking for something more portable, continue looking. My biggest con was it had some issue where everytime i opened it, i had to do a weird combination of pressing the power button while simultaneously pressing on random keys to get it to turn on.

The Alienware m16 is a great gaming laptop. It is quiet, even when playing rendered 3D scenarios and graphics-intensive games. Be aware that this laptop is technically portable, it is not something I'd travel with on a daily basis. It works when I have to occasionally take it on the road, but the power pack is huge and the computer is heavy. All-in-all, at the price point I got the quality of components and the capability of gaming/3D rendering I needed for work. I am happy with my purchase.

Seems good. I upgraded it to 32gigs of memory and 3 TB of storage. I don't use it to game at all, only for video editing and general business use. Fan seems a little loud at times. Smidge of a light bleed on the uper righthand side of the screen but doesnt really bother me. Really like the computer so far, my Razer pooped out after 8 years, not sure if the Alienware is better or worse yet. Only thing I know I def hate is the brick of a charger, that thing is huge and heavy.
