Constant graphics card and Windows crashes — I’ve spent more time troubleshooting this Alienware m16 than actually using it. Dell/Alienware’s support is beyond frustrating. Their go-to solution is making you reinstall Windows repeatedly, even when hardware diagnostics indicate failure. It’s just a tactic to get you off the phone. After numerous calls, chats, and emails, they finally replaced the motherboard and GPU. The replacement parts weren’t even quality tested — one had a non-functioning USB port, and the hard drive started failing too. Eventually, the Geek Squad store manager helped exchange it for a brand-new system. But the nightmare continued. The new laptop had the same issues. Dell still insisted on Windows reinstalls and minor tweaks before agreeing to replace the motherboard and GPU again. The replacement motherboard was filthy, with a faulty CPU, and now the fans failed diagnostics. Another motherboard replacement followed, this time with a broken touchpad connection. Every attempt at repair made things worse. Despite having an onsite service contract, Dell demanded a depot repair and flatly refused system exchanges or any higher-level assistance. After two months of this back-and-forth, Geek Squad suggested sending it to their depot. If it wasn’t fixed, I could exchange it. When I returned, the laptop still wasn’t fixed, and the BIOS now showed a different service tag with an expired warranty. At that point, the Geek Squad supervisor, Kevin, thankfully facilitated a return. I bought a different laptop, and though the GPU is a downgrade, at least it works. Dell’s "Advanced Resolution Services" managers are unhelpful, evasive, and quote policies they can’t even substantiate. After being a loyal Dell/Alienware customer for over 30 years — and even having worked for Dell — this experience was the final straw. Avoid the headache. Buy anything else. It will be better than this.

It does have some quirks, such as fans that run when the lid is closed, and inability to HDMI out to 4K projector in single display mode, but other than that its a super impressive laptop. Of course it's loud when gaming so use noise cancelling headphones. Battery life is like 6 hours+ if you put the display refresh rate on 60hz and on battery saver mode

Would have gave this five stars but charging over type c is very important. The power brake is pretty big, Asus as a 330 watt power brick and is still where here is big as this one.

Great Laptop I went with Alienware because they say them and Lenovo have the best customer service and warranty in the gaming computer market. Went with Dell over Lenovo because like everyone else we all grew up on Dell and to me it is basically synonymous with Windows.
