For a long time, after dell acquired them they were plastic junk. This laptop is fantastic, the screen is bright and it blazes through everything i throw at it.

This feathers allows for cyrotech to run. Other than that was an awesome laptop used to slay my enemies

Thermals are pretty bad on this and I don't know why the vents are on the right hand side so when your using your mouse, air Is blowing on it. It also throttles a lot on games like warzone 2. Goes from 170 fps to 60 on ultra. It could be from my item since I bought it open box but I want to return it and exchange it for something else.

Stuck in boot loop then it sorted itself out , runs very hot low fps in games lots of stuttering. On its way back Asus rog strix replaced it and so far so good

Here are the steps to troubleshoot your heating issue:
1. Update the system BIOS.
2. Configure Alienware Command Center.
• Open Alienware Command Center
• Set the Active System Theme - Thermal as Performance Mode
3. When the system boots up, using the preinstalled software Dell SupportAssist run the stress test.
• Dell SupportAssist > Hardware Checkup > CPU > CPU stress test
4. Launch the Alienware Command Center, go to Fusion, and monitor the CPU frequency.
• The CPU peak temperature should be less than or equal to (≤) 100 ℃
• When under high stress, the system average temperature can be expected to be less than (≤) 100 ℃
• Note: The CPU average temperature can be expected to reach 95 ℃ under cool mode for the Alienware m15, m17, and x17 systems

Am returning the laptop
