Well, Alienware wasn’t my first choice. I originally bought an Asus OLED 16” gaming laptop & it had little to no upgrade ability. The ram was 16gb & soldered to the motherboard.. So, I returned it & decided to go down the Alienware route. Sure, it doesn’t have an OLED display BUT! I got a lot more in return. I added a 2 TB SSD and upgraded the dual channel DDR5 ram to 32 GB! WORTH IT. laptop runs cool, it’s comfortable & has ran everything I’ve thrown at it. If I was to complain, for the price, it should have an OLED display or, a brighter and more colorful display.. Laptops are a constant trade off though. I rather have something more powerful than flashy.

This laptop is absolutely perfect for gaming I use it everyday. Can run AAA titles without an issue. My favorite gaming laptop I’ve had so far. Absolutely a huge fan of Alienware and this being my first gaming laptop the performance has been amazing! Definitely recommend this item.

Son loves the Alienware for playing his games. He plays it all the time and has not had any issues with anything. He is very happy with the purchase.

Have a bit of heating problems. performance is good but need bit of more battery.

So far so good, not to mention the sale price for 1299. My 14 y/o laptop was 1199 with gtx 660m. Now this is on par with my desktop pc with 2080 super. Im glad i bought this for portability. If not on sale, just balance how your gonna use it and spec your laptop from there. Solid buy.

i am very pleased with this purchase! The computer "ROCKS". I was wanting a laptop with a dedicated GPU for working on photos and video editing. This fulfills everything I have wanted and it was a price I could not refuse with black Friday. You will not go wrong with this computer. People complain about the battery life on this machine. What are you complaining about, its a gaming computer that longer then the HP Omen. i had it and with light work i got maybe 3 hours of life. Now with the Alienware i get between 4 and 5 hours. This is a great computer!

overall its a complete workhorse, but its 4.5 stars because it does not have the same quality as the g16, I bought the g16 but had to return it and got this due to the ram being upgradable, I have it powering 3 Alienware monitors without a problem. Have not had any issues with it so far.

Solid gaming laptop but only really worth it if you can get it on sale. Gaming has been good and primarily what I use it for, however, it is light enough where I wouldn’t mind using it as a productivity laptop. Out of the box it almost maxes out the ram on idling so upgrading to 32gb is kind of a must. The laptop is easily upgradable though and swapping out RAM or adding another M.2 is fairly easy. Laptop CPU does run very warm and turning up the fan does remedy this issue with the drawback of more noise.

Decided on a gaming laptop in case I want to game. Funny right. Other laptops are just so boring. The lights and look of it are really cool. As far as quality goes. Had some issues with the fan and the warranty on it was awesome. Tech worked through it and got a new fan sent out asap. So far no other issues and works great for the crafting I’ve been using it for. It did go a bit slow on the one game I tried to play but they could be a user issue and not a laptop issue. Most likely.

Good laptop, fans can ramp up when in performance mode. Biggest issue for me was RAM utilization. Discord, spotify, and one chrome tab and using 11 of the 16 gigs available. If hardcore user I would recommend upgrading to 32 gb.

Works great and so far, the heat management is excellent. I marked down one star because the screen brightness is lower than my old Legion. I also removed a star because one of the speakers don't work. I checked the connection when I opened it up to add an SSD. Everything was fine, and in fact the broken speaker is the first in line of the two fed with the same paired cable. So it is the speaker not the wiring. The audio and bluetooth sound play in stereo. Just got a dud. Don't want to risk them messing anything up so I'll just live with it.

Great gaming laptop. I mainly use it for photo and video editing. Works great and fast. Tried playing couple games and works great too. Screen/display is good, but I normally use it with my bigger monitor. I upgraded the memory to 32GB and added another 2TB drive for more data storage. I use it while charger is plugged in, but the battery is not bad when I am just browsing and watching Netflix. Overall, I am happy with this laptop.

The machine is lightweight and adjust performance to increase battery life when not under stress. One complaint is that the Alienware software along with other background makes the machine idle at about 13gb ram utilization. That doesn’t leave a lot available for other tasks. Now, you can upgrade this to 32gb ram for about $100. But with it was offered that way.

This laptop is outstanding. Fast, capable, beautiful screen, awesome customizable lighting. The only thing I would change is the cooling intakes are on the bottom so if you are running in performance mode and the laptop is on your lap or any surface that contacts the bottom, it will block the cooling air intakes and the laptop will quickly overheat and shut off. Other than this, the laptop is perfect, so much so that I bought another for my wife.

I was so spoiled with my Alienware desktop that I had to get the laptop as well. It just works! Each and every time without fail. We have a home business and that is valuable. From editing, bookkeeping, programing, and gaming....It does everything without any lagging or issues. I have had other workhouse computers including apple and HP. They do not compare, from customer service to compatibility. Alienware will always be my go to.
