We added one of those cooling laptop fans on the bottom of the laptop and it definitely helped! I would recommend getting one of those if you get this laptop.

It's got a powerful CPU and GPU, a super sharp 16-inch display, and it's built like a tank. It's perfect for gaming and getting work done, and it's got great cooling and a comfy keyboard. The battery life is pretty good, and it's got all the ports you need.

It is great and powerful. Only issue is that it is too good and might inspire him to game instead of do his assignments. On the serious side, it does get pretty loud when he is pushing the processing speed.

I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars because it gets very warm when just doing basic computing tasks. But really that’s just being nitpicky. If you’re looking for a nice gaming laptop this is hard to beat right now.
