This is my first Alienware and I am impressed. I had switched over to a Mac for professional reason and became a diehard apple fan. But for my birthday my husband purchased this pc for me strictly for gaming. It has been incredible. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the battery life is not great. If I am gaming without it plugged in it gives me about an hour of game time before I have to be connected. Also, it is super heaving compared to my MacBook pro so not as easily portable.

Great laptop! It's a bit loud and the battery life isn't the best, but that's what you get with this kind of power.

Great for gamers! Computer graphics are second to none. Beautiful display and keyboard. Lots of pretty colors.

I have an MSI equivalent that I have been using for work and gaming and I have to say the Alienware m17 R3 blows my MSI system away! The processing is faster. The graphics are sharper and clearer. The SSD hard drive is faster then my compatible SSD in the MSI system. I can't say enough great things about this laptop and I could go on for pages about how much better this system is. I would recommend this laptop to any and all that is looking to buy a new and great performing unit!

Very sexy laptop. Lots of color options for the lights. Not too heavy.

Honestly I bought this for school because of its superiority! I got so much more than I was expecting! I don’t have the best internet but I don’t have a single problem regarding internet connection! The only problem I had was that it got too hot too fast, but that was an easy fix by buying a cooling pad for it! The best investment I’ve ever made!

Great pc and awesome graphics. Only complaint I have is the battery life. It’s very short lived

We wound up buying 3 of these for my husband and teens. Work, play, school all handles flawlessly on these machines and the large screen is wonderful. The only thing it is missing is touchscreen. Once you get used to not having that it is great. You can also fully customize the lights which is a silly fun feature. Handles gaming and photoshop without any issues.

I purchased this laptop as an open box item. It had just been returned to the store and we rushed it through testing so I could take it right away. Got it home and completed the factory restore. Everything was smooth and fast. Only problem was that the sound card or device was not detectable by the OS. Bummer! Started over and reinstalled just because I wanted a clean install. Still no go. Figured it was a loose connection on the main board and was going to need to be cracked open. Though if I'm going to do that might as well upgrade to 32gig of RAM while inside. Turns out that you can not access or replace the RAM on this laptop. Unlike most other systems what you order is what you keep. Deal Breaker for me! At least I didn't have to open it up to find that out. Went ahead and returned to Best Buy and made sure they know about defect before trying to open box it again.

There hasn’t been a game that the pc can’t handle.

So far so good Did run into a few hicups but hopefully nothing else comes of it Beside that one thing people well notices is regardless of if your playing games or just using it for watching video the battery life is pretty bad And does need to be plug in most of the time But it is a gaming labtop so what do you expect?

Bought this as a replacement for a laptop that just died on me, while I was busy with a relocation move. Needed a replacement ASAP. Satisfied with it, need it for for work plus I can play some games on it. Would have liked to have the dark side of the moon color scheme though.

game slayer!!!!!!! 8 years ago i wanted a beast to get me through any game. got an ASUS monster that did the trick. this laptop is my new beast in 2020 and thank Alienware for coming to the plate. was worried about the Dell association but the Alienware name still stands as it ever did.

Display: beautiful, big, and fast. Gaming: played WOW( CPU base game but was able to get at least 250 fps and around 90 in populated cities), Overwatch (at least 280 FPS), ESO (around 100 FPS, no option to increase FPS, graphics was at ultra settings) COD Warzone (max setting) it handled every game I normally played at max settings with no issues. Battery: nothing to expect here, it's a gaming laptop. Normal use (web browsing, YouTube...): This is where this laptop failed me. It's get really choppy for like a minute and it comes back in another 10 to 20 minutes. I found it very annoying especially when trying to do some school online. Conclusion: great for gaming, no so great for normal useage. I had to return sadly.
