The fan can get loud, but that was really the only complaint. I had it for almost nine months, and I came home, and it was dead. Thankfully it was still under warranty, and I had purchased the extended Dell service (cause it's an expensive device). Dell sent me a box to ship it in, kept it for about a week, and sent it back to me. They had to replace the motherboard and reinstall the OS completely. A $2500 laptop should last longer than nine months.
